Chapter 89 - The Hidden Kingdom, Wedding Bells, and a Journey to New York.

Inside the car, Meghan carefully adjusted the blanket around Lilith.

The tiny pregnant woman was quietly drinking water.

She stared out of the window.

Meghan looked outside too.

"Meg?" Lilith asked softly.

"Yes, baby?" Meghan replied.

Lilith continued staring out the glass.

"Look…"

"No people…"

"No…"

"R…r…r…"

Meghan smiled gently and squeezed her hand.

"No people."

"No road."

"No noise."

"Only family, baby."

Lilith slowly nodded.

The convoy continued moving.

Soon, the first massive gate appeared.

The guards immediately began checking every vehicle.

After verifying everything, the gates slowly opened.

"Welcome, Mrs. Lily!"

The guards bowed respectfully.

Lilith smiled shyly.

The cars drove forward.

She rubbed her growing baby bump.

The convoy passed the second gate.

Then the third.

Then the fourth.

Finally, the vehicles stopped.

Everyone stepped out.

The moment they saw it—

"WOAHHHHHHH!!!"

Everyone shouted.

Lilith carefully climbed out.

Her green eyes sparkled.

She slowly blinked while looking around.

Zhanna smiled.

"Pretty, Lily?"

Lilith stared at the enormous mansion.

"B…Beautiful…"

The tiny pregnant woman whispered.

At that moment, the grand entrance doors opened.

Nikolai stepped outside.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Behind him stood Urlima holding a ceremonial tray.

"It is time."

Everyone gathered near the entrance.

The Welcome Ritual

First came the Aarti Ritual.

Urlima circled a sacred flame around Nikolai and Lilith, offering blessings, protection, prosperity, and happiness while warding away negativity.

Then came the Kalash Ritual.

A decorated pot filled with rice was placed at the entrance.

Lilith gently lifted her right foot.

Then softly kicked the pot.

Rice spilled forward into the mansion.

A symbol of abundance entering the home.

Next came the Alta and Kumkum Ritual.

A plate filled with red ceremonial liquid was placed at the doorway.

Lilith dipped her feet into it.

Then walked forward.

Small red footprints followed behind her.

Marking her arrival as the lady of the house.

Nikolai held her hand.

"Very p…p…pretty, Nikki."

Lilith smiled.

Nikolai kissed her head.

"Come, baby."

"Let me show you around."

"Everyone, come."

The family followed.

Everyone eventually gathered in the main hall while dinner was being prepared.

Lilith sat comfortably beside Nikolai.

He gently rubbed her baby bump.

"Taran."

"Have you gotten your wedding suit?"

Yulian asked.

"Yes."

"I have."

"Sohan wants the wedding in New York."

Taran (Massimo) replied.

Suddenly Lilith gasped.

"Baba birthday on 8!"

She began clapping.

Everyone stared.

Nikolai blinked.

"You remember your father's birthday?"

Leonid and the doctors looked equally surprised.

Lilith nodded proudly.

"Uh huh."

"Rim bhai s…s…s…say baba b…b…birthday 8."

Nikolai smiled.

"What are you going to give Baba as a gift, love?"

Lilith thought deeply.

"Hmmmm."

"L…L…Lily buy!"

She opened her teddy bear purse.

Then stuck out her tongue.

Everyone laughed.

Nikolai rested a hand on his forehead.

His adorable wife pulled out every bundle of cash she had.

Then shoved all of it into his hands.

"Here!"

She clapped happily.

Adrian laughed.

"Lily has a lot of money."

"Yep! Yep!"

Lilith giggled proudly.

During dinner, Nikolai served her food.

A bowl of orange chicken sat before her.

The dish contained crispy fried chicken pieces coated in a shiny sweet and tangy orange sauce.

It was served with steamed white rice.

There were crispy fried noodles.

Broccoli.

Carrots.

And vegetables in a light sauce.

Lilith happily began eating.

Meanwhile Nikolai quietly moved all the broccoli aside.

He hated broccoli.

Arina noticed immediately.

"Come on, brother."

"They're good for you."

"Hmm."

"No."

"I don't want them."

Lilith slowly turned toward him.

Made a tiny fist.

And smacked the side of his head.

"EAT THEM NOW!"

She pointed at the plate.

Everyone froze.

"NOW!"

Nikolai immediately obeyed.

With visible fear.

He began eating every broccoli piece.

One by one.

Everyone burst into laughter.

Then suddenly—

Lilith tapped her forehead.

Her vision blurred.

Everything spun.

Dr. Violet instantly caught her.

"Lily!"

Nikolai stood immediately.

Leonid examined her.

"No bleeding."

Dr. Mason prepared an injection.

After a brief examination—

"She needs rest."

Dr. Raphael nodded.

Nikolai immediately carried her upstairs.

Into their new bedroom.

He carefully laid her down.

Pulled the blanket over her.

Then gently placed warm socks on her feet.

Protecting her from the cold.

Three Days Later

It was Olivia and Ezekiel's wedding day.

Olivia stood beside her mother.

Mrs. Magdalena gently held her hands.

"My sweet baby."

Olivia's father had died years ago due to mafia company rivals.

Only her mother and younger brother remained.

Her brother, Yegor, was twenty-two years old.

Her father had been Russian.

"It's time, Ollie."

The girls gathered around her.

Mrs. Magdalena kissed Olivia's forehead.

Then lowered a beautiful blue veil.

Yegor held his sister's arm.

Together they walked down the aisle.

The church doors opened.

Ezekiel looked up.

His heart immediately melted.

Olivia looked breathtaking.

She wore a royal-blue ballgown wedding dress.

The gown featured:

A strapless bodice.A fitted waist.A large satin bow at the back.Layers of tulle.Satin ribbon detailing.

She reached him.

He took her hand.

The ceremony began.

They exchanged vows.

Promising forever.

The pastor smiled warmly.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Ezekiel lifted her veil.

Then kissed her.

Everyone applauded.

Photographs were taken.

Laughter filled the church.

Later during the reception—

Ezekiel danced with his wife.

"How many children do you want?"

Olivia thought.

"Hmmmm."

"Four."

"Or however many you want, my love."

He smiled.

"Four will do."

She hugged him.

The dance continued.

Elsewhere.

Rima and Asif danced slowly.

Vera and Xerxes watched from a distance.

Asif held Rima close.

For the first time in a long time.

Rima felt peaceful.

Safe.

Comfortable.

Xerxes watched silently.

Memories flooded back.

There was a time when Rima looked at him with endless love.

But he never looked back.

His eyes had been focused elsewhere.

On Vera.

After the humiliation.

After the betrayal.

After everything.

He remembered the pain in Rima's eyes.

Then the fire.

Then the day he learned she had become part of one of Russia's most powerful groups.

His heart broke further.

Watching her dance with another man.

"If only you hadn't trapped me…"

"I would've been the one dancing with her."

"She used to love me."

"Now all I see is hatred."

Xerxes finished his whiskey.

Then quietly left.

A few moments later.

Vera left too.

Four Days Later

Everyone had finally finished unpacking.

Mr. William walked through the courtyard.

Completely amazed.

"Woah."

"Nick."

"You really outdid yourself."

"Thank you, Dad."

"How is your health?"

Mr. William laughed.

"I'm fine now."

"Your mother keeps me in the gym."

"Never lets me eat sweets."

"Only herbs."

"She holds on tight."

"She scares me."

Nikolai laughed.

"It was only a fever."

"She doesn't want to lose you again."

The laughter faded.

Mr. William became serious.

"I want to talk about the India Punjab family."

"And Lily's safety."

"I'm listening, Dad."

Mr. William nodded.

"Even your grandfather warned us."

"Never get close to them."

"They feed on wealth."

"Money."

"Blood."

"The women are often from powerful families."

"Some are forced into marriage."

"They're ruthless."

"Heartless."

"They fight over property."

"They deceive people."

"They manipulate people."

"They eliminate anyone in their way."

"I am worried about Lilith."

"She's carrying your child."

"They may try to hurt her."

Nikolai inhaled slowly from his cigarette.

"They're beasts, huh?"

A dangerous smile appeared.

"Then they're about to meet a monster."

Mr. William sighed.

"Be careful, Nick."

"I will, Dad."

Suddenly—

"WILLY!"

Mrs. Francesca shouted from somewhere nearby.

Mr. William groaned.

"Here we go again."

Nikolai laughed.

His father quickly left.

Afterward.

Nikolai took out his phone.

Then dialed a number.

An elderly woman answered.

"Hello, Kael."

"How are you?"

"I'm fine."

Nikolai's voice remained cold.

"How is your wife?"

"Lily is fine."

"Actually…"

"She's pregnant."

"With my child."

"I'm going to be a father."

A huge smile filled the old woman's voice.

"Oh!"

"Congratulations, child!"

"Thank you."

His expression hardened.

"Now."

"The reason I called."

"Everyone keeps warning me about your family."

"It is even written in Grandfather's diary."

"The terrible things your family has done."

"So let me make something clear."

The old woman became silent.

"Warn everyone."

"Your children."

"Your grandchildren."

"Your great-grandchildren."

"Your daughters-in-law."

"Everyone."

"Nobody messes with my wife."

"Lily is my life."

"If that cannot be guaranteed."

"Nobody will come."

The old woman panicked.

"No, no!"

"It will be done."

"I swear."

"On Goddess Saraswati."

"Nobody will harm her."

"I promise."

"You have my word."

Nikolai nodded.

"Thank you, Maa."

"See you soon."

The call ended.

Soon everyone gathered outside.

Cars waited.

Luggage had already been loaded.

Elena and Dylan were already in New York.

The family would be flying there for the wedding.

Everyone entered the vehicles.

Then arrived at the private airfield.

The private jet stood waiting.

Ready for Taran (Massimo) and Elena's wedding.

One by one.

The family boarded.

The engines roared.

And moments later—

The jet lifted into the sky.

Heading toward New York.

Toward another wedding.

Toward another chapter in their lives.
