Gensou stood after the battle with the Yami ended, staring at the ceiling.
Gensou: So, I have returned… Ha… Hahahahaha! (laughing maniacally)
Gensou: You failed to kill me, Solar, and now I have awakened from the cursed seal. Nothing will stop me now.
Gensou placed his hand on his face, laughing wildly in a majestic display.
Gensou: Kaizen has returned… you insects, prepare yourselves! Hahahaha!
(laughing maniacally)
(Heartbeat… heartbeat… heartbeat…)
Kaizen: What is this feeling…?
Kaizen falls to the ground, vomiting blood.
Kaizen: What a weak body… I've only lost a little blood, but don't worry, this new body… (raises his hand, and it returns to normal)
He tries to stand, but falls again.
Kaizen: What is happening…?
Unknown voice: You, scoundrel!
Kaizen: What…?
Kaizen's consciousness is transported to a strange place, seeing nothing but darkness.
Kaizen: Are you still resisting, you weak mortal…?
Gensou appears, standing in the middle of the darkness, staring at Kaizen.
Gensou: Return my body to me, you wretch.
Kaizen: And what will you do? Cry again… or beg me for it? (laughs mockingly)
Gensou stood, staring at Kaizen, and said:
Gensou: "Just… why? Why do you do this? Why… do you love to torture humans? Is it only because you have power?"
Kaizen (calmly, moving slowly within Gensou's mind):
"Power… is not what humans think. It is not to impose your will on others, nor to control them completely. True power… is to understand their limits, and then use it to reveal the truth."
Gensou (hesitant):
"Truth? What are you talking about? I see the destruction you cause, the blood… this is not wisdom, this is madness!"
Kaizen (smiling coldly):
"Madness… what the weak call madness, is merely their refusal to face reality. You want to place the world in your simple frame of safety, but reality… knows no safety. Everything is fragile, everything is temporary, and every being… no matter how free they think they are… is bound by invisible chains."
Gensou:
"Chains? You speak as if these are excuses for killing or controlling!"
Kaizen (looking directly at Gensou):
"No, not for killing… for truth. To know that every being… even you, is bound by their own concept of self. Anyone who flees from themselves… places themselves under my control, or under the control of any idea stronger than them. I only show you… that escape is impossible. The world shows no mercy, and the body does not choose."
Gensou (closing his eyes, silent for a moment):
"If this is your philosophy… if all your actions… are just revealing the truth… then what about me? Am I free? Or just a tool?"
Kaizen (in a low, heavy voice):
"You are free, as long as you are willing to bear the truth. But true freedom… is not in choice, but in recognizing that no matter how hard you try, you will never be the center of the world. You… are merely a point of light struggling against the eternal darkness. And this… is your test."
Gensou (sighing, whispering):
"A point of light… against the eternal darkness…"
Kaizen (smiling coldly again):
"Yes… and that is what makes life thrilling. To struggle, and to realize that no matter how hard you try, everything around you… is subject to shadows deeper than yourself. And this… is the place I live in."
Gensou: Let us duel, Yami.
Kaizen: Duel? Hahaha! Me and you? You weakling, thinking yourself strong… (maniacal laugh) Fine, you may try. If you land a single strike on me, I will return your body.
Gensou: Fine… but how do I know you are telling the truth?
Kaizen: You wretch, do you think kings lie to weaklings like you?
(laughs mockingly) Do you really think you can land a strike on me? Such courage!
Gensou lunged at Kaizen, delivering multiple strikes, but none landed.
Kaizen took a few steps back, watching without moving.
Kaizen: Oh… have you surrendered this easily, mortal?
Gensou sat in the darkness, his body disoriented, his spirit battered by waves of pain from every direction. His eyes glimmered with tears mixed with the inner darkness, and his voice trembled as he whispered:
Gensou (sadly):
"All my life… I never accepted myself… every moment I ran from the darkness within me… I was afraid of my feelings, of myself… of being just a small point in a world that knows no mercy…"
A heavy silence filled the space, until suddenly, he smiled—a calm, genuine smile.
Gensou (with a faint, determined smile):
"Kaizen… I understand now. I… accept myself."
Kaizen raised an eyebrow slightly, glancing at Gensou in astonishment, his voice calm but filled with surprise:
Kaizen: Insanity… perhaps?
Gensou smiled again, this time more clearly, raising his hand calmly toward the surrounding darkness. He whispered firmly, though not loudly, more like a proclamation:
Gensou: Kyoketsu no Hikari…
Suddenly, all the darkness around them began to dissipate. No explosion, no ordinary yellow light… but all the darkness turned into light, slowly, flowing, as if each part of the darkness carried the light within it.
Kaizen stared at what was happening, eyes wide, voice a whispered astonishment:
Kaizen: What is this…?
Gensou smiled, a look filled with determination and understanding, and said steadily:
Gensou: My philosophy… is not about fleeing from darkness, nor about controlling others…
It is about accepting myself as I am… every weak part, every dark part… every living part…
This light… is not mine alone, it is for everything I once feared… it is me, whole.
He paused for a moment, then gestured toward Kaizen:
Gensou: Kaizen… I want you to understand me, to accept me as I am.
Kaizen replied:
Kaizen: Fine… I accept you.
Kaizen repeated, angrily:
Kaizen: What… happened? I didn't say that…
Suddenly, Kaizen fell to the ground, vomiting blood.
Kaizen: Wha… what… happened?? You insect wretch!
Suddenly, their souls felt connected. As if every thread of Kaizen's existence was tied to the center of Gensou, and the world around them screamed in deep silence, filled with both power and calm.
Gensou opened his eyes suddenly, returning to his body, but he was not as he was; his consciousness now intertwined with all the dark energy that had dissipated. He muttered to himself, then began vomiting blood, engulfed in pain… yet he smiled, a different kind of smile, a smile from one who has finally known himself, beyond all the darkness within.
Gensou (whispering, voice choked with blood and pain):
"I… have returned…"
Gensou collapsed and lost consciousness.
Kaizen: Nooo! (screaming in anger, hands on his face) Was I sealed again? I… Kaizen!!! Just a mortal…
Kaizen: Nooooooo! (screaming in rage)
"Just wait… I will make you pay, Gensou!"
