Synopsis
Haruto Tanaka is dead. Or rather, the real Haruto Tanaka is dead because when a 25-year-old nobody from the real world opens his eyes in the middle of Shibuya Crossing, he knows exactly what happened. Reincarnation. Anime world. The whole package. Except... he's not excited. He's not crying. He's not building a harem or unlocking cheat skills. He's just bored. Armed with nothing but genre-savvy sarcasm and a habit of talking to the sky (sorry, "the Author"), our dead-inside protagonist must navigate a world that runs on anime logic where hair defies gravity, little sisters barge into rooms unannounced, and every sunset looks like a watercolor painting. The problem? He remembers being an adult. He holds chopsticks wrong. He finds everything too perfect. And his sharp-eyed little sister Yui is starting to notice that her "brother" feels like a stranger wearing his skin. Is this a rom-com? A battle shounen? A psychological horror disguised as slice-of-life? The Author isn't answering. And as Haruto stumbles through club activities, suspiciously convenient memory downloads, and a family that doesn't know he's an impostor, one terrifying thought keeps creeping in: What if the worst genre... is the one where nothing happens at all? A meta-isekai that breaks the fourth wall, then apologizes for it. For everyone who ever watched an anime and thought: "This protagonist is way too excited about dying."

Chapter 1 - 1.The Crossing

The Crossing

My name is Haruto Tanaka.

I open my eyes.

I am standing in the center of Shibuya Crossing. Thousands of people walk around me. Cars move. Lights change. Everyone is busy.

But I am not panic. I am normal. Very normal.

Too normal.

I think, Oh. I am reincarnated in this 2D world.

I should be excited. People in stories always cry or scream or run around when they reincarnate. But I am not excited. I feel nothing. Just... normal.

Then I look up at the sky.

"Hello, author," I say. "Are you writing my story? So please make good story."

Then I stop.

What the fuck am I saying?

I watch anime and 2D fiction because it feels different from movies and series. It has its own rules. Its own colors. But now I am inside it. And I am talking to the sky like a crazy person.

People go here and there. Left and right. They walk around me like water around a rock. I am still in the center. A human island.

I sigh.

"What a boring day," I say. "I reincarnated in an anime world. But what should I do?"

I look at a boy walking past me. He has spiky hair and a school bag. Very anime.

I think, Is there anime law here? Does it work?

I push the boy. Just a little push. On his shoulder.

"Oh, sorry," I say.

The boy spins around. His eyes become big and shiny. He waves his hands fast in front of his face.

"Ok, ok!" he says. "I am ok! No problem! Really!"

Then he runs away.

I stand there. I look at my hand.

"Wow," I tell myself. "What a world. He acted like a new law. The anime law is working."

People still move around me. The light turns red. Then green. The world continues.

I tell myself, "Should I go? Or not?"

I do not know.

I just stand there.
