Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: The Wisdom of Chimpanzees

Armored Gorilla felt his temperature soar. Cold sweat poured from his forehead. He knew his little thoughts had been seen through by the terrifying man in front of him.

Though he didn't know why a cyborg would have the strange feature of sweating—this was the One-Punch Man world, so it was fine.

At the moment of life and death, he still humbly smiled and quickly explained: "It's like this. Although I am a combat robot, I've also loaded a comprehensive module—covering all aspects. So please, tell me if you need anything!"

"Not bad. Not bad."

Jack nodded repeatedly after hearing this.

There's a reason Armed Gorilla could still live well with Dr. Genus after the House of Evolution was forced to disband. This guy had a flexible mind, knew how to adapt to circumstances, and was a rare intelligent Monster—very suitable for an administrative executive in a team.

As for Mosquito Girl, who also survived? She was popular and good at acting cute. What brain did a billboard girl with looks and figure need?

"Not bad. I just need talent like you two over there."

Jack's feet kicked up a circle of translucent, light-green gale. He rose into the air, supported by Psychokinesis, then patted Armed Gorilla's shoulder again.

"I'll tell Dr. Genus later. You two will follow me from now on."

"Ah…?"

Armed Gorilla was stunned again.

They even investigated the doctor's identity. The enemy was indeed prepared.

But—what the heck was recruiting on the spot?

What kind of hidden evil organization was behind this guy?

(Psykos: ACHOO—!)

"Hey, hurry up and go to the next floor. And…" Jack's voice came from afar, interrupting Armed Gorilla's thoughts. "Don't forget the armory you mentioned later."

"Ah… Yes!"

The seemingly clumsy metal body caught up at extremely fast speed with a rumble. Armed Gorilla frantically complained in his mind.

What kind of perverted killer—actually taking pleasure in slaughtering Monsters?

My timely act of showing weakness and feigning surrender… was truly too wise!!

Deep underground, with a buzzing sound of wings approaching from afar, a giant insect slowly flew out of the darkness.

The huge, human-insect-like body was covered with a thick brown carapace. A single horn on its head pointed straight to the sky. Its fierce face looked nonchalant—but deep in its eyes lurked a cruel, tyrannical desire for slaughter.

It was the House of Evolution's ace. The ultimate biological weapon—

Asura Kabuto.

In its massive hand, Clone 33—head bleeding, multiple bone fractures—spat up large mouthfuls of blood. Such a miserable state was actually the best outcome. The first batch that went to the bottom prison—22, 31, and his partner 49—had all been swatted to death like flies by that Monster. Turned into piles of red-and-white mincemeat.

"Tsk… Which bastard is worth this great one's move?" The super-sized brown Kabuto Monster landed on its feet and spat a mouthful of saliva, creating a bottomless small pit in the ground. "Why haven't you called him over yet?"

"Cough, cough, cough… The opponent is pushing into this floor. You should be able to see him soon… Ugh, ah, ah, ah, ah—!!"

"Huh…? Too troublesome!"

Asura Kabuto casually threw down the completely twisted corpse in his hand—which resembled a broken hemp stick.

"Doctor, I know you can see this. I'll wait in the combat space. I hope the opponent you mentioned doesn't disappoint me too much."

A savage grin spread across its face.

"After all—I am the perfect form of new human evolution in your mind!!" Laughter boomed. "GUHAHAHAHA—!!!"

Dr. Genus: …

Looking at the Monster flying away leisurely on the monitor, he sighed and muttered to himself: "No. You are just a failure."

Arrogant. Cruel. Bloodthirsty. Completely inhuman. Such a twisted personality was almost entirely uncontrollable. If not for the moment of life and death, he would absolutely not release this Monster—the one even he feared.

"Send a message to Armed Gorilla." Dr. Genus pushed up his glasses. "If that esteemed guest isn't satisfied after experiencing the armory… we have more exciting projects here for him to play with."

Upon hearing this, the eyes of the many clones sharpened.

A brilliant move—using a tiger to devour a wolf.

As expected of the original. He easily thought of the optimal solution to eliminate two Monsters simultaneously.

But Dr. Genus was not as excited as the clones. His gaze behind his lenses was deeply lowered—his thoughts completely unfathomable.

Inside the armory, filled with countless instruments and culture dishes, the last few modified Monsters let out unwilling roars—then were precisely killed by the plasma lightning Jack casually released.

The aftershocks of the energy gradually subsided. The air was filled with a faint burnt smell—and a hint of metal scorched by high temperatures.

Jack walked leisurely, his feet treading on the charred remains of Monsters, while the surrounding precision instruments and huge cultivation tanks remained perfectly intact, seemingly untouched by the battle. In a sense, these expensive facilities and equipment were about to become Jack's property. He naturally wouldn't damage them easily.

Nearby, at a makeshift dining table, Mosquito Girl—who had already replaced her limbs with human ones—was elegantly pouring tea. The sight filled Armored Gorilla with satisfaction.

Jack approached from not far away. Just as Armored Gorilla was about to urge Mosquito Girl to proactively offer the tea, he watched her pick up the teacup and take a sip herself.

Not to mention—she was quite cute.

Armored Gorilla: …

Mosquito Girl let out a satisfied hum, completely lost in herself. The huge gorilla's face instantly became covered in black lines. He nearly crashed on the spot.

He quickly poked Mosquito Girl's waist with his thick metal finger, lowering his voice, his tone full of exasperation.

"Hey! You! The tea is for the guest!"

Mosquito Girl's face instantly changed. She roared with sharp fangs: "What are you yelling about? Can't I just pour another cup?"

When Jack approached, Mosquito Girl quickly poured another cup of tea with nimble hands and greeted him with a cute, innocent smile.

"Sir, please have some tea~~"

Armored Gorilla: …

How can you change your face so skillfully?!

Jack's lips curved slightly. He took the teacup and drank it all in one gulp, not at all worried about these two poisoning him. Besides—he had already tested the potent venom created by the Poison Lizard Sisters. In front of a max-level Fierce Beast Body, so-called potent venom was merely an ordinary seasoning.

The kill information was still frantically refreshing in his vision. With a thought, the system panel unfolded.

Just dealing with the remaining thousand Tiger-level modified Monsters in the armory—plus several unfinished Demon-level combatants—had brought Jack a large amount of Origin Points. Adding the modified Monster troops he'd killed while pushing through earlier, this single trip to the House of Evolution had netted him nearly 100,000 Origin Points.

This trip—I really came to the right place!
