Chapter 111 - The Blood-Red Glow :

Being pulled forward so suddenly and forcefully, Sheyaan froze in shock.

Her eye widened with fear and disbelief, while her heart pounded relentlessly in side her chest like a runway train.

Amid the heavy silence filling the room, her trembling gaze gradually steadied and locked onto the stranger's face. Without blinking, she simply stared at him.

At that moment, the man's cold and strangely captivating eyes seemed to bore directly into hers.

His expressionless face remained calm and unreadable, yet there was an undeniable sense of pressure hidden beneath that silence—one that unsettled Sheyaan to her very core.

The stranger still held her wrist firmly, keeping her hand pressed against his chest.

Meanwhile, in an instinctive attempt to keep herself from falling, Sheyaan had grabbed his shoulder with her other hand.

Her fingers were clenched so tightly that the fabric of his white-and-gray checkered shirt had become slightly wrinkled beneath her grip.

The two of them stood incredibly close to each other Close enough for Sheyaan to faintly feel the warmth of his breath.

The soft lighting of the room stretched their shadows across the floor, while an eerie stillness settled over everything around them, as if time itself had come to a halt.

And within that profound silence, only the curtains hanging beside the window swayed gently under the touch of the night breeze.

A cold breeze drifted in through the window and brushed across the faces of Sheyaan and the mysterious man.

At that very moment, their intense focus seemed to waver slightly, and an odd sense of unease settled into the heavy silence filling the room.

For a few seconds, neither of them spoke Then, suddenly, the stranger broke the silence In his usual deep, cold, and emotionless voice, he said,

"Stop staring.. at me."

His words echoed softly through the room and reached Sheyaan's ears.

She immediately blinked and snapped back to reality, as if waking from a trance. Her lips trembled slightly from nervousness.

Quickly freeing herself from his firm grip, she stepped back and tucked her loose strands of hair behind her ear while avoiding his gaze.

For a moment, she struggled to find the right words before speaking in a slightly stuttered voice,

"I... I wasn't staring..at you..."

But in the next moment, she gathered her courage and looked directly into his eyes.

There was still nervousness in her voice, yet her sincerity was impossible to miss.

"You suddenly appeared in.. front of me... I was just.. startled."

As soon as she finished speaking, silence settled over the room once again. Zavian remained standing exactly where he was.

There was no surprise on his face. No anger. No visible emotion at all He simply continued looking at her with those deep, calm eyes.

Without saying a word Without changing his expression.

As though he was quietly listening to every word she said... while simultaneously reading every emotion hidden within her heart.

Zavian silently gaze remained fixed on Sheyaan, as if he was quietly trying to read through her innocence without seeing a single words

For a few moments, a heavy silence lingered throughout the room.

After a brief pause, Sheyaan clasped her hands behind her back and spoke in her gentle voice. Raising an eyebrow slightly, she asked with innocent curiosity,

"By the way... why are you here? Did you need.. something?"

Hearing her question, Zavian slowly took a deep breath. His eyes swept across the room before he slipped both hands into his pockets.

Looking directly into her eyes, he answered in his usual cold and calm tone,

"I told you... we'd meet..later."

The moment those words left his mouth, Sheyaan immediately remembered the message he had written on the car's side mirror.

The memory resurfaced vividly in her mind A faint smile appeared on her lips as she gently nodded.

"Hmm..."

Seeing her quiet acknowledgment, Zavian turned and walked toward the large window.

He casually sat on the window frame, leaning slightly against the side. His head rested against the frame while his legs stretched out comfortably before him.

Even in such a simple posture, his presence felt effortlessly imposing For a few seconds, he simply watched her in silence.

Then, without the slightest change in expression, he tilted his head slightly and gestured toward her.

In his calm, cold voice, he said,

"Come.. here."

The moment those words reached her ears, Sheyaan's heartbeat quickened.

Her heart pounded so loudly that it felt as if it might burst from her chest.

"Why is he..calling me over?"

The thought echoed repeatedly in her mind. Yet faced with Zavian's overwhelming presence, she found herself unable to refuse.

Taking a slow breath, she tried to calm the nervousness inside her and began walking toward him with hesitant steps.

Zavian remained seated on the window frame, calm and composed as ever. His cold, unreadable eyes stayed fixed on Sheyaan, as if he were silently studying every emotion that crossed her face.

Meanwhile, Sheyaan slowly walked over and stopped in front of him. Tilting her head slightly upward, she asked in a quiet voice,

"So... what is it? Why did you.. call me here?"

Even after hearing her question, Zavian didn't answer right away.

He casually pulled his hands out of his pockets and watched her in silence for a few moments.

Then, without saying a single word, he slowly reached out, took Sheyaan's hand,

and with a swift pull, gently drew her into the empty space between his parted legs.

caught off guard by Zavian's sudden and unusually intimate behavior, Sheyaan was left stunned.

The unexpected closeness between them sent a shiver through her entire body.

she was standing directly in front of him The distance between them suddenly felt much smaller Sheyaan's heartbeat quickened With visible nervousness, she asked,

"Wha... what are you..doing?"

Her trembling voice sounded unusually clear in the quiet room Yet Zavian remained silent.

There was no obvious expression on his face, but a strange calmness flickered in his eyes.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile appeared on Zavian's expressionless face as if he was amused by Sheyaan's nervousness.

He immediately tightened his grip around her hand with both of his hands and gently pulled it against his chest.

Zavian overwhelming closeness immediately made Sheyaan nervous instinctively, she placed both of her hands on his shoulders

The next moment, Zavian wrapped his arms firmly around her waist. Then, without saying a word, he slowly rested his head against her shoulder.

In the deep silence of the room, the two stood incredibly close to each other.

Sheyaan's heart was pounding wildly inside her chest, racing like the engine of a speeding train.

In contrast, Zavian appeared completely calm and fearless, as though their closeness didn't affect him at all Then he slowly closed his eyes.

The cool night breeze drifting in through the window brushed past them, bringing an unexpected sense of peace amid the tension.

In that quiet moment, Zavian leaned closer and whispered near her ear,

"Because of you... my powers were wasted. Now let me feel..my powers again."

As soon as he said those words, he tightened his hold on her.

Hearing his strange statement about his powers, Sheyaan became even more confused and nervous. Without realizing it, she gripped his shoulder more firmly.

Questions and uncertainty filled her mind Turning her face slightly toward him, she asked in a soft voice,

"How did I cause your..powers to be.. wasted, huh?"

Hearing her innocent yet concerned question.

Zavian tightened his hold around Sheyaan and lended closer to her ear, whispering in a low voice.

"My powers were wasted..because of you... If you hadn't asked me to save..those people, I would never have..helped them."

Sheyaan stood there silently. Confusion and surprise were clearly visible in her eyes.

She listened carefully to every word he said while countless questions swirled through her mind.

Then Zavian slowly lowered his face near her neck, took a deep breath, and continued in his deep, husky voice,

"Helping others is not..my job... My job is to send them..to hell."

Hearing those terrifying words, Sheyaan's eyes widened in shock. For a moment, her entire body seemed to freeze. Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out.

After gathering herself, she spoke in a trembling voice,

"You're so cruel... What do you even gain by sending innocent..people to hell?"

A faint smirk appeared on Zavian's face at her innocent question. He slightly tilted his head and replied softly,

"It gives me peace... because once they reach.. hell, they become my source.. of power."

His answer left Sheyaan deep in thought. Silence settled over the room for several moments.

After clearing her throat, she gathered her courage and asked a question that could shake even Zavian.

"Can I..ask you..something?"

Without showing any reaction, Zavian gave a slight nod.

"Hmm... ask."

Taking a deep breath, Sheyaan spoke,

"Tomorrow, Fangxi is going to.. question you... Aren't you afraid at all?"

She paused briefly before continuing,

"And if he finds out the..truth about you... that you're a Demon... and decides not to keep you..as my bodyguard anymore... then what will... you do?"

For a brief moment, Zavian fell silent. Then he straightened up and looked directly into her eyes. His gaze was deeper and more intimidating than before.

Without a trace of emotion, he said in a cold and firm voice,

"A Demon fears.. no one."

His words carried both confidence and danger.

"If he listens to me... then perhaps he can..survive."

His eyes turned even more serious.

"And if he..doesn't..."

He stopped halfway through the sentence Yet those unfinished words alone sent a chill down Sheyaan's spine Her eyes trembled as she asked in a fearful voice,

"Are you going to.. kill Fangxi?"

The moment those words left her mouth, a dark smile slowly appeared on Zavian's face.

That smile reflected his pride, his indifference, and the terrifying nature hidden within him.

And then..

In the dimly lit room, his eyes suddenly glowed a frightened crimson red the eerie glow of those blood-red eyes made Sheyaan shiver from head to toe her heart pounded violently in her chest .

And the silence filled the room became heavier then ever before.
