Harold woke up shortly before noon. 

The fatigue from his long journey had finally eased, and after washing his face in the hot spring pool connected to his room, he stepped outside. 

The entire Blue Stone Hills Estate was bustling with activity. 

From time to time, undead servants emerged from outside the manor carrying massive blue stones upon their shoulders, their heavy footsteps creating dull thuds against the ground, while the slaves moved back and forth across the courtyard. 

Some were studying under the supervision of others, carefully learning letters and numbers, while the rest focused on shaping stone into millstone components.

Making millstones was not an easy task.

In truth, it was extremely difficult.

The slaves possessed neither proper tools nor professional experience. 

Most of them only had the skills of apprentices at best, and every groove they carved into the hard blue stone demanded time, patience, and repeated effort.
