Chapter 93 - Ruin(2)

I swiped all this loot and moved up the stairs to the next area that was a crumbling hall with wreath pattern box patterns on the occasional stone tile. I killed three more Grummites and fed their weapons to my own while collecting another piece of ore. The hall's center had another drum with totems of wood propped up on it. The thing that stood out most however was the silvery grey crystals that nestled the drum in place.

Order crystals.

As I mentioned before Sheogorath had been another Daedric prince originally, Jyggalag. What I didn't say was that Jyggalag was the prince of order, the opposite of chaos that Sheogorath is. The isles as the realm of Sheogorath had naturally been Jyggalag's originally and had the most stubborn remnants of this influence left over all over the place. That was what these crystals were, pure order influence. Immovable and unchanging. I didn't even bother messing with the things as I knew already that I couldn't effect them. Instead I just walked over and opened up the drum nestled between them. Inside it lay a few pieces of Madness ore, some gold, an Altmer helmet and a greatsword that was made of the same silvery grey crystal, a sword of order.-

This weapon was the sort used by the cold emotionless constructs known as Knight's of order. They were all exact carbon copies of each other made to look like Jyggalag himself and seemed to be made of order crystals but without the indestructible properties. It was still a strong material however and one I was more than happy to add to my weapon in time. Not yet though as much like ebony and Madness ore the material was at the upper echelons and not one I wanted to absorb out of order.-

Ironically I wasn't actually worried about any possible corruption to my soul because of feeding my blade something like this. The reason was simple, anything fed to my blade lost all connection to anything else. I had tested this by tethering a dagger to a ring and then feeding the dagger to my blade. That tether wasn't cut off abruptly or anything like that but went..... slack is the best I could describe it. It was as if the dagger the tether was attached to simply ceased to exist so the tether was unmoored on one end.-

It was for this reason I needed to be absolutely certain that I avoid feeding my blade any of the daedric prince weapons that exist. They might not care about a lot of things but those weapons contain literal fragments of their very essences. If that connection flat out ceased to exist they'd know immediately and DEFINITELY would not be happy about it. Don't get me wrong i'm fairly certain that stealing literal divine essence and fusing it into my soul might not be a good idea to begin with but it's doubly bad when doing so gets me on the "mortal enemy" list for the gods in question.-

Besides I wasn't exactly hurting for power or potential at the moment anyways. I was steadily mastering the thu'um as well as the she` hai. I hadn't even begun to darken my magicka yet as it was STILL growing, albeit slowly. And on top of all that I was on a journey to gain experience so I can raise my magical skills to an expert level. All of this and I was only fifteen turning sixteen next month and a half.-

Putting away the sword of order I moved on to the next area of the ruins that was a huge squishy root tunnel through a collapsed wall. The soil was fleshy and green while the walls were made of root holding stone and dirt in place. There were some orange glowing orb shaped fungi that I wasted no time at all harvesting and moving on towards the thick syrupy honey colored stuff in a crack of one of the roots, amber. Much like Madness ore amber could also be turned into weapons and armor. In fact it was one of the single best materials for light armors because it was very light and flexible after treatment but was also ridiculously durable.-

It was pretty close to Malachite armor in terms of weight and slightly stronger. It was also really good at holding enchantments, just like Madness ore. They were so good at it in fact that it was a tradition for the smiths who knew the secret art of forging the things to create matrixes that were left to soak up the ambient magics of the isles. The rare material was then poured in and tempered. The final product was something enchanted from the moment of it's creation, a rarity I can assure you. -

I only knew of exactly three other things that worked the same way and ONLY three. The first was the Aetherium forged items. The second was the items made in the lunar forge. And the final was atronach forge creations. That was it. I'm sure there were others but it was likely no more than a handful or two. Anyways I used [telekinesis] to pluck the dripping sticky resin crystal from the crack and shake off the sap stuck to it. Really I had to pat myself on the back for going out of my way to learn the spell as it just had so many uses.-

With the material stored away I stopped bothering to hide and started walking casually through the tunnel. I came across a few more Grummites but they proved hardly better than ants that I crushed. They had no technique behind their attacks even with a surprisingly high impact force. Their weapons were also not even strong or sharp enough to scratch my skin. They earned no more than sparks from their efforts. the ones using bows were even worse because their arrows were just plain wooden shafts with pointed tips that shattered on impact with my body.-

Once I saw that the final area of the dungeon was just a large underground chamber with root walls and a pond of water the Grummites were using as a breeding round I just tossed in six [flash burn] fireballs that filled the chamber in bright white fire and cooked them all at once.

'Is it bad charred Grummite smells good?' I questioned myself with a disturbed expression.
