The atmosphere in the main hall of the Hand's headquarters was tense and solemn.
Ever since Chen Ye killed Madame Gao and Murakami in the battle at Hell's Kitchen, the Hand's influence had severely diminished. Now, only the Three Fingers—the core members—remained.
The Gambler, representing one of the Three Fingers, was the first to break the silence.
A cold glint flashed in his eyes, as if he could freeze the entire hall.
"I assume everyone has received the news. The Federal Government is preparing to wipe out Hell's Kitchen."
His voice was deep and powerful, carrying an irresistible authority.
Sawanda, another representative of the Three Fingers, remained relatively calm.
He glanced at The Gambler, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "So? Are we supposed to side with the damn Federal Government against Hell's Kitchen?"
His tone was laced with disdain, as if he found the very idea absurd.
"Don't forget, both the Federal Government and Hell's Kitchen are our enemies. Let them tear each other apart," Sawanda added. His gaze held a shrewd glint, as if he had already calculated every move.
Sawanda had little interest in getting involved. After all, revenge was never as sweet as profit, and letting their two enemies tear each other apart would maximize their own gain.
Just as the two were arguing incessantly, Alexandra, the supreme leader of the Hand, suddenly spoke.
Her voice was soft yet firm, carrying an irresistible charm.
"I have found information about the Dragon Bone." As her words fell, the entire hall plunged into dead silence.
"What?! The Dragon Bone!" Sawanda shot to his feet, his face a mask of disbelief.
To people like them, the Dragon Bone meant endless power and the extension of their lives. They were all Elders from Kunlun, exiled for attempting to use the Dragon Bone fossil to prolong their lifespans. One of the primary reasons they had founded the Hand was to discover its whereabouts.
The Gambler was equally eager, his voice trembling as he demanded, "Where is it?!"
He seemed desperate to seize the Dragon Bone's power. After all, they had waited for this day to finally arrive—how could they not be anxious?
Alexandra, however, did not answer their question directly. Instead, she gently swirled the red wine in her glass, as if savoring the joy of victory.
A hint of mystery and triumph flickered in her eyes. "If we can find it and use it correctly, we will possess endless power and longevity."
"And the location is Hell's Kitchen."
At the mention of "Hell's Kitchen," a look of wild joy spread across The Gambler's face. He had been yearning for revenge, and the Dragon Bone was his best chance.
Sawanda, however, frowned. He knew all too well how volatile Hell's Kitchen was; a war was now inevitable.
Both men turned to Alexandra, awaiting her final decision.
Alexandra took a deep breath, fully aware that her choice would alter the course of the entire situation.
"We must go to Hell's Kitchen," she declared firmly. "After all, if the Federal Government levels it, we'll lose our chance."
Their expressions darkened. They knew she was right. If the Federal Government truly razed Hell's Kitchen, they would be left with nothing. The Federal Government's high-tech arsenal was no joke.
"So, are we going to help Chen Ye's group?" The Gambler asked reluctantly.
He didn't want to risk helping Chen Ye; the stakes were simply too high.
Besides, if word got out that the Hand was assisting him, their reputation would be ruined.
However, Alexandra shook her head. "Who said I was going to help Chen Ye?"
A cunning glint flashed in her eyes as she smiled. "Go notify the Federal Legislators we're on good terms with. Tell them we will assist them this time, free of charge. All we ask in return is a piece of land in Hell's Kitchen for real estate development."
At her words, The Gambler and Sawanda's faces lit up with joy.
They understood Alexandra's plan. By helping their allied Federal Legislators, they would secure a plot of land in Hell's Kitchen—the very location of the Dragon Bone.
This way, they would both obtain the Dragon Bone and launch a real estate venture. It was a masterstroke.
"No problem!" the two replied excitedly. Alexandra's real estate idea was brilliant; it would allow them to excavate for the Dragon Bone without restraint.

At S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Captain Marvel, Carol, was introducing a partner she'd known on Earth to Nick Fury.
"This is Ikaris, my friend," Carol said, introducing him to the man who looked like a black-skinned egg.
Looking at Ikaris, Fury couldn't help but feel a twinge of doubt. He glanced sideways at Carol and teased, "This is your 'friend'?"
Carol felt a bit uneasy under his gaze and finally gave in, explaining, "Fine, ex-boyfriend."
Ikaris helplessly spread his hands, indicating that he was also innocent. As an Eternal, he had no intention of getting involved in this matter, for he was not supposed to interfere in the wars of mortals. However, Carol's repeated invitations had left him unable to refuse.
Nick Fury's curiosity was piqued. He asked, "So why did you bring your ex-boyfriend here? This is no place for a date."
Carol took a deep breath and said solemnly, "I've invited him here to help. If I hadn't asked him repeatedly, he wouldn't have agreed to come."
"Oh?" Nick Fury's eyebrows twitched. He scrutinized Ikaris, doubt creeping into his mind.
The man looked tall and handsome, but he didn't seem to possess any particularly formidable abilities.
*Could he really help them counter Chen Ye's plan?*
Ikaris sensed Fury's skepticism. He had no desire to get involved in a mortal conflict anyway, so he prepared to stand and leave.
"Stay put," Carol warned. "If you dare walk out, I'll tell Sersi about our little secret."
"Fine," Ikaris sighed, hearing Sersi's name. He shrugged and sat back down.
Sersi and Ikaris were both Eternals and had once been married. Though they were separated now, Ikaris still cared deeply for her.
"Trust us," Carol said solemnly. "Leave Chen Ye to the two of us."
Seeing her unwavering commitment, the "Black Egg" had no choice but to trust her.
As the two rose and departed, the Black Egg picked up the phone and commanded, "I want everything you can find on that man."
