Facing Kong's overwhelming, domineering strike, the Hulk fell into a state of extreme rage.
Only when one is infinitely close to death can they truly understand the meaning of life!
At this moment, the Hulk evolved.
His fury transformed into an endless source of energy, allowing him to break through his limits at the brink of death. With both hands, he firmly caught the massive, dazzling spearhead.
The size difference between the two was absurd. The enormous vibranium spear was several times thicker than the Hulk himself. The blazing spearhead, radiating intense heat and light, was like a red-hot lance thrust toward a beetle—yet the beetle somehow managed to catch it barehanded.
Boom!
The Hulk managed to stop Kong's immensely powerful attack, but the ground beneath him could not withstand the force. It collapsed instantly.
The Hulk was driven deep into the earth, followed by a massive explosion that sent a gigantic mushroom cloud soaring into the sky.
The powerful shockwave swept across the battlefield. General Ross, who had just been splattered with the Hulk's blood, was thrown hundreds of meters away and landed amid the devastated ruins, his fate unknown.
At the center of the battlefield, a crater over a hundred meters deep had formed, and the land within a radius of five hundred meters had been completely overturned by the violent energy.
Dust filled the air.
Kong stood in the middle of the crater, arcs of electricity occasionally flashing across his body. Most of his spear was buried in the ground, yet the shaft was trembling slightly.
The Hulk had not been impaled to death.
Feeling the force being transmitted back through the spear, Kong was somewhat surprised.
After all, his strength was tremendous. With enough momentum behind it, the spear's tip could unleash a force exceeding ten million tons.
Yet that little green guy had actually blocked it.
Just how much power was contained within that relatively small body?
In truth, if Kong had fought seriously from the beginning, he might have been able to kill the Hulk.
Unfortunately, his initial attacks failed to achieve that, giving the Hulk enough time to fill up his "rage meter."
In the Marvel Universe, the Hulk was practically a bug in reality itself. His strength had no upper limit—the angrier he became, the stronger he grew.
In his World Breaker Hulk state, he could even destroy half the universe.
And in Thor: Ragnarok, if Thor hadn't intervened, the Hulk might very well have torn apart the three-hundred-meter-tall fire giant Surtur.
ROAR!
Sensing that the Hulk had grabbed the spearhead, Kong tightened his grip on the shaft, yanked it upward, and slammed it back down again.
Like a giant pile driver, he stabbed downward repeatedly—dozens of times.
The Hulk clung stubbornly to the tip of the vibranium spear, enduring the damage while actually trying to tear the weapon apart.
This was vibranium, one of the toughest materials in existence. Even nanotech vibranium couldn't compare to its solid-state form.
Yet the Hulk was actually managing to rip a crack into the spearhead.
By rough estimation, the Hulk had already surpassed planetary-level power, reaching the threshold of a Skyfather-level being. And his strength continued to rise along with his rage.
At this rate, in another ten or twenty minutes, the Hulk would probably be the one beating Kong senseless.
For now, however, the two remained evenly matched.
The real victims were the surrounding mountains, forests, and terrain, which had been completely reshaped by the battle.
S.H.I.E.L.D. had long since noticed the disturbance at the military base.
When General Ross rejected his proposal, Nick Fury had briefly considered activating one of his backup plans.
For example, calling in Captain Marvel.
Or releasing the Sentry.
But he ultimately abandoned both ideas.
Captain Marvel was too far away to arrive in time.
More importantly, Kong had Han Shaoqing standing behind him—a man even more powerful than Captain Marvel.
Among everyone Fury knew, only the Sentry could possibly compete with him.
But the Sentry was notoriously unstable. If he lost control, Earth could be wiped out in minutes.
It was impossible to know who would win, but humanity would likely go extinct first.
As for nuclear weapons?
That was an even worse idea.
The military base was too close to New York. Even setting aside whether nukes would work, Fury lacked both the authority and the political protection necessary to authorize such a strike.
"Ross, you idiot. I should've gotten rid of you a long time ago."
Nick Fury's expression darkened.
Ross had brought this upon himself and dying would be no great loss, but someone still had to clean up the mess he had created.
What else could Fury do?
The current S.H.I.E.L.D. had virtually no combatants capable of intervening except the Sentry.
All they could do was wait and watch.
Hopefully the destruction wouldn't get any worse.
At the very least, Fury was grateful the battle wasn't happening in a major city. Otherwise, the casualties and economic damage would be skyrocketing.
ROAR!
The Hulk grew stronger the longer the battle continued.
He charged Kong once again.
Kong swung his damaged spear, but misjudged the Hulk's speed and missed entirely.
By the time he tried to change tactics, it was already too late.
The Hulk leapt onto Kong's head, grabbed a handful of fur, tore away a chunk of skin, and began hammering Kong's skull with a barrage of punches.
Kong had already become a true Titan King, a creature whose hide could withstand nuclear explosions.
Yet the Hulk managed to injure him.
That alone showed how terrifying the Hulk's growth in strength had become.
The powerful blows left Kong dizzy, nearly knocking him off balance.
Kong reached up and grabbed the Hulk, trying to crush him between his thumb and forefinger.
The attempt achieved almost nothing.
Although Kong possessed a massive size advantage, that same size worked against him.
His strength couldn't be focused efficiently against such a small target.
Not only did he fail to crush the Hulk, but the Hulk actually forced his fingers apart.
With a roar, the Hulk sprang from Kong's finger and launched himself toward Kong's eye.
If that punch connected, Kong would probably lose the eye.
ROAR!
At the critical moment, Kong opened his enormous mouth.
Thunderous energy gathered in his throat and erupted outward as a devastating beam.
The massive energy blast struck the Hulk midair.
With nowhere to gain leverage, the Hulk was blasted away.
The beam smashed through two mountain peaks before sending him flying dozens of miles into the distance.
Only after the beam finally dissipated did the Hulk plunge into the ocean.
"Hiss..."
Kong bared his teeth. White smoke drifted from his mouth as he stuck out his tongue to cool himself down.
Ahead of him, the two mountains pierced by the beam still glowed red-hot.
As for the Hulk, he had sunk into the sea, bubbles rising to the surface. It would take him some time to climb back out.
Touching his head, Kong found blood on his fingers.
Looking at the battered spearhead, now cracked and damaged, he became even more irritated.
He was seriously considering diving into the ocean to drag the Hulk back out for another round.
"That's enough, Kong. Come back."
Han Shaoqing appeared and stopped him.
Because if the fight continued, Kong would ultimately be the one at a disadvantage.
Under Han Shaoqing's care and constant feeding, Kong had effectively become a pay-to-win player.
His strength and equipment far surpassed the version seen in Godzilla vs. Kong.
The problem was that the Hulk was outright cheating.
His absurd ability to convert anger into limitless strength simply defied reason.
Even Han Shaoqing found it troublesome.
Not impossible to deal with—just troublesome.
If Han Shaoqing truly wanted the Hulk dead, he had plenty of ways to make it happen.
In fact, he had left behind his beautiful companions and rushed over as soon as Kong and the Hulk started fighting.
To Han Shaoqing, both Kong and the Hulk were excellent targets for his abilities.
More importantly, after spending decades together, he had come to regard Kong as family.
If Kong beat someone else up, Han Shaoqing wouldn't interfere.
But if Kong was getting beaten, then as his "second brother," he had to step in.
