Chapter 10 - WORLD TRANSFER COMMENCING

Host: Raven Hart

Title: Initiate Worldwalker

World Authority: 0.3%

Energy Compatibility

Aether: 0%

World Authority: 0.3%

Raven observed the blue screen in silence.

"Power mmm? So what can you do?"

 Raven arched a brow

"Yeah?"

• World Selection

• Mission Log

• Ability Evolution(Locked)

• Walker Shop(Locked)

Raven's mind filled with questions.

He was very versatile when it came to knowledge about mana and how sorcery worked but not once had he heard of someone with a talking blue screen.

He could control mana to some extent but that was it.

The barriers he used had nothing to do with him and everything to do with his the seal his sister left on his right arm. They didn't rely on his mana

But despite that.

Raven poked his right thumb with his index finger

"I still have a feeling of how mana works and can tell that this thing in front of me"

Raven's eyes sharpened

"Is definitely not made out of mana"

The blue screen flickered violently.

Raven stared blankly.

"Hit me then. Whatcha got?"

. VALDRYS

Raven rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"So what happens if I enter this Val-whatever place?"

The screen pulsed faintly.

Raven blinked.

"…You really slid that in casually."

"Of course it is."

That finally caught his attention.

Raven's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…Abilities I can bring back?"

Now that…

That was interesting.

Raven rested his elbow against his knee.

"And this World Authority thing?"

Raven stared at the screen.

"…That explanation somehow answered nothing."

"…Was that sarcasm?"

"Shut up."

The room fell quiet again.

Raven's gaze drifted toward his right arm.

The seal there glowed faintly beneath the bandages.

His sister's final gift.

The only reason he had survived this long.

Slowly, his expression lost some of its usual laziness.

Abilities....Power....

A chance to finally stop being on the defense at every confrontation.

For years, Raven had accepted weakness because he had no choice.

Now suddenly, some cosmic parasite with a glowing attitude problem was offering him a ladder out.

Very suspicious as it was though

"…So let me get this straight."

Raven pointed at the screen.

"You dragged me back from death, shoved a magical hallucination into my head, and now you want me to visit random worlds that can kill me again."

"…That sounds less like a system and more like entertainment exploitation."

No response came this time.

Raven sighed.

"Fine."

His eyes sharpened slightly.

"What exactly is Valdrys?"

The screen glowed brighter.

Then slowly

Words appeared.

Raven stared at the final line.

Then burst out laughing.

"Thirty days?"

He pointed at the screen accusingly.

"You couldn't even pretend to care about my well-being?"

"…You know, I miss being dead already."

The screen ignored him completely.

That made Raven pause.

"…Compatibility?"

Raven's face flattened immediately.

"…That might be the most insulting thing anyone's ever said to me."

Raven frowned.

"Wait."

His eyes narrowed.

"You're sending me there right now? I haven't even said yes"

"Hold on, I'm literally hospitalized."

"…I don't know what that means."

"Oh."

Raven nodded once.

"Fancy word for coma."

<…ACCEPTABLE DESCRIPTION>

Raven smirked slightly.

Finally there was Progress.

At least the thing was learning how normal people spoke.

The room temperature dropped instantly.

A low hum filled the air.

At first, it sounded distant then suddenly became louder.

It felt like space itself had started vibrating.

The blue screen expanded suddenly, the letters distorting violently.

The mana lamps inside the room flickered twice before a loud explosion followed.

BANG!

Glass shards scattered across the floor.

Raven's eyes sharpened immediately, "What the hell!"

The space directly in front of him twisted

A black point, barely the size of a coin appeared in his view.

Before he could even ask the system, the black point expanded wildly

FWOOOOM!

The air in the room distorted as a spiraling mass of darkness erupted outward like a black hole.

The curtains snapped wildly toward it.

Furniture scraped violently across the floor.

Books, papers, shattered glass

Everything was dragged toward the spinning void.

Raven grabbed the side of the bed instantly.

"…You couldn't do this less dramatically?!"

"Oh screw you!"

The pull intensified.

The bed itself lifted slightly from the ground.

Raven's hair whipped violently around his face as the black vortex spun faster and faster before him.

Inside it nothing existed. Just like the void

Just endless darkness twisting inward forever.

It looked less like a portal…

"…Yeah no. That definitely looks evil."

The black hole expanded again.

This time the pull latched onto him directly.

Raven felt it instantly.

Not on his body but his conscious

His consciousness lurched violently forward.

Pain exploded through his skull.

"NGH—!"

His fingers tightened against the bed frame.

Veins bulged slightly against his arm as he resisted instinctively.

But resisting seemed pointless as the pull wasn't physical. It seemed to drag something deeper from him

Like invisible hands had grabbed his soul directly.

The room around him began stretching unnaturally.

Raven gritted his teeth.

"…This is officially the worst transportation method I've ever experienced."

"Yeah because this feels like dying again!"

"Minor my ass—"

The sentence cut off abruptly.

The pull suddenly multiplied tenfold.

Raven's pupils shrank.

FWOOSH!

His consciousness was ripped free instantly.

The hospital room disappeared first. Then the academy. Then, with a violent force that nearly tore his thoughts apart, the world itself vanished.

Raven felt himself falling through absolute darkness at horrifying speed.

Endless spiraling void rushed around him like a collapsing universe.

Fragments of light flashed past occasionally.

Broken cities, A giant eye opening somewhere in the dark, and a sea made entirely of black fire.

Towering humanoid figures chained beneath crimson moonlit skies

Each image appeared for less than a second before vanishing again.

Raven's expression stiffened slightly.

"…Okay."

If I die in here…"

His eyes sharpened faintly as he grit his teeth in pain

"…Do I get another dramatic void conversation or was that a one-time offer?"

The system paused for exactly two seconds.

"…Depends on what?"
