Ellen hurried to the gala, escorted by Alfonso. Throughout the journey, she kept calling her boyfriend to inform him that she would be attending in Felicia's place. Unfortunately, Flint couldn't be reached. Ellen didn't want to blame him, as Flint was naturally interacting with other guests at the gala. The only problem she faced now was whether the security would let her in, given that she was using Felicia's VIP invitation.
"Flint is still unreachable?" Alfonso asked frantically.
"Yeah. But that's okay. Maybe he's just busy."
Alfonso exhaled heavily as he gripped the steering wheel. "At times like this, he's hard to reach, whereas usually he's the easiest to reach."
"Actually, I just needed him help with the identity check at the entrance. I was using Felicia's invitation card. I was afraid I'd be seen as an intruder."
"The Sky Group shouldn't be so cruel. If you're not allowed in because you used someone else's invitation, I'll be the one to help you."
