Chapter 145 - Chapter 145: New World Voyage Log 3: High-Speed Sailing, Scenery of Multiple Islands

After completing resupply and the system registration of the new member Linglong on Poison Mist Island, the Black Submersible Warship immediately left the decaying region and submerged back into the deep sea.

The ship's medical system was working at full capacity to treat the newly joined member Linglong. This Mink Tribe woman, who suffered from genetic modification defects, possessed immense talent, but prolonged experimentation and toxin erosion had left her body in an extremely weakened state.

Linglong's addition brought another Beast Girl reserve to the Beast Girl Legion after Otohime, but until she fully recovered, she could not be considered a true combat asset.

Brian ordered the warship to sail at full speed, swiftly navigating along some of the New World's remote yet resource-rich routes. The warship's speed reached its peak, resembling a black specter darting through the deep sea.

Within a few weeks, they passed several islands in the New World, each with its unique environment and resources.

First was "Eternal Night Island."

This island was perpetually covered by a massive, naturally shielding cloud layer, plunging it into eternal darkness. The creatures here had evolved powerful night vision and ultrasonic sensing abilities.

Brian briefly landed on the island, primarily to allow the Beast Girls in the legion with sonic abilities to undergo adaptive training. This included Dog Girl, who excelled in hearing, and Bat Girl, who possessed exceptional combat prowess in dark environments.

On the island, they also collected a rare luminescent ore that only grew in extremely dark environments. This ore could be used for internal lighting on the warship and as a reserve for emergency power, making it a decent acquisition.

Next, they traversed a perilous sea area known as the "Corridor Sea."

This sea was composed of countless massive, maze-like rock pillars, with turbulent and chaotic currents flowing between them, serving as a natural training ground.

Brian had all the Beast Girls participate in the sea-crossing training, requiring them to navigate through narrow rock crevices while evading the chaotic currents. This greatly enhanced their dynamic vision and reaction speed, honing their agility and speed to the extreme.

Due to its extreme danger, this sea area ultimately yielded little else in terms of gains.

Aside from the improvement in strength, the most notable outcome was the accidental capture of a massive fish-shaped Sea King in these waters. This Sea King was later prepared into a feast, providing a hearty meal for everyone on board.

Brian had to admit that the meat of this fish-shaped Sea King was among the most delicious foods he had ever tasted, leaving him somewhat nostalgic for it.

Unfortunately, only one had been caught at the time, and such creatures were exceedingly rare, leaving little to be done.

Later, he discovered by chance that this type of Sea King was an extremely precious ingredient in the world, but its numbers were so scarce that it had not appeared for over a century, leaving very little information about it.

Subsequently, the warship arrived at "Giant Stone Island," a land covered in ancient culture and ruins. The island was scattered with countless massive stone statues and steles carved with symbols of a lost civilization.

Brian did not detect any powerful living beings here, but he keenly sensed that these symbols of the lost civilization were unusual. He immediately arranged for the maids under his command to make rubbings of all the symbols for future study.

In terms of font and shape, these symbols somewhat resembled the content of the Poneglyphs, yet they were not entirely the same.

Unfortunately, none of them could read ancient texts for the time being. They could only preserve the rubbings and store them together with the massive Red Stone, awaiting translation in the future.

After each voyage and island landing, Brian personally supervised the allocation of strength and combined training of the Beast Girls.

During this voyage, the coordination within Brian's Beast Girl Legion had grown increasingly seamless. They had evolved from a collection of powerful individuals into an elite team with flawless tactical synergy.

The combat combinations between different squads had become more proficient, and their bonds had grown closer, much to his satisfaction.

The warship continued its journey, traversing one of the New World's most peculiar islands—the "Domain of Silence."

The Domain of Silence was an island covered in a special type of moss so vast that it absorbed all sound waves. Upon entering this area, all sounds were swallowed up; even the sound of waves became inaudible, plunging the entire world into absolute silence.

This environment was deadly for creatures reliant on hearing and served as the ultimate test of the "Observation Haki" of the Beast Girls under Brian's command.

Brian ordered all Beast Girls to venture deep into the island for a three-day survival training session in this completely sound-isolated environment. They had to learn to rely entirely on Observation Haki to perceive their surroundings, detect enemy movements, and engage in silent teamwork.

Through this training, Brian confirmed the combat potential of the legion when deprived of sensory advantages. In clashes between top-tier fighters, one side often used Haki to disrupt the other's senses, making such training a crucial defensive measure.

After leaving the Domain of Silence, the warship entered a rare area known as the "Crystal Sea."

The seawater in this region was a pure, pale blue, and the seabed was covered with transparent crystal clusters as vast as cities. These crystals not only reflected light but also gathered rare minerals from the surrounding currents.

This sea nurtured a peculiar creature known as the "Rainbow Light Fish." The scales of this fish were natural prisms, capable of decomposing light into a spectrum of rainbow colors. As they swam in the deep sea, they resembled flowing rainbows.

Brian became intrigued by the biological characteristics of the Rainbow Light Fish.

He sent Otohime deep into the sea to capture and study them. The scales of the Rainbow Light Fish were not only beautiful but also possessed a cellular structure with exceptional energy stability and light energy conversion capabilities.

Brian immediately decided to collect a large quantity of Rainbow Light Fish scales and tasked Mia and Otohime with processing them into a special composite material. This material could serve as a protective layer for the warship's hull, capable of reflecting some physical attacks and, to a certain extent, interfering with enemy optical detection equipment.

Their next destination was "Lava Rift Island."

This island was located at the junction of two massive tectonic plates, covered with active volcanoes and bottomless lava chasms. The climate was extremely hot, with the air thick with sulfur and high-temperature steam, and the ground rocks perpetually on the verge of melting.

This island served as a natural training ground for "fire-type" and "strength-type" Beast Girls.

Fire Rat Girl Agni and Hellhound Girl Berlos thrived here, undergoing extreme heat resistance and fire attribute enhancement training.

They fought in environments hot enough to melt steel, forcing themselves to refine and condense their control over flames, compressing their originally wild fire into more destructive forms. The two even attempted to combine Armament Haki with flames, creating a special attack capable of burning Haki itself.

Meanwhile, Brian had all the Beast Girls in his legion known for their strength—primarily the two Dragon Girls—conduct weight training here.

They had to carry the island's extremely dense volcanic rocks and engage in combat on unstable lava terrain. This training greatly enhanced their lower body stability and core strength, making each of their attacks more steady and lethal.

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, only one week remained until the agreed-upon time with Rocks. Brian decided to head to the final destination of this journey.
