Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: lucky we found you

"Fifteen years after Mr H was born, living within the walls of a government training school, there remains boy stolen from his parents like so many before him, Yet saved by our Great Government. He claims he will become the greatest Among us all. However as it stands the greatest is going to make us late"

Livia's Hand struck Helios Across the face with enough force to-

"Ahhh!"

Helios Lunched from his bed, instantly falling into a fighting stance. His eyes adjusted to the light surrounding him as his mind slowly began to wake, The he was able to notice who stood before him

"Livia... why have you broken into my dorm yet again?"

Levia rolled her eyes as she sighed, Looking Helios directly in the eyes with a mixture of disappointment and disbelief, Helios continued squinting, still trying to force himself awake.

"Firstly, I don't 'break in'. "I phased through the door" Levia replied.

"That is still breaking in, even if you didn't 'break' anything" Helios interrupted

Levia's expression dropped into frustration. She turned around, reaching for the door handle and twisting it. Just before leaving, she glanced back.

"Maybe you should check your clock, Mr. Ungrateful."

She stepped out of the room.

"Congrats on learning how to use a door," Helios called after her.

His eyes slowly wandered towards the clock.

9:00

Helios' heart sank, a single thought crossing his mind.

" Cetos going to kill me."

His eyes quickly darted around his room, desperately searching for any loose clean clothes.

"ughhh... my training clothes".

With no other choice. Helios quickly grabbed them and put them on.

bursting out of his dorm, Helios began sprinting down the corridor, on this morning, felt endless, The soulless white walls blurring around him.

Reaching the end of the corridor, Helios looked over the railing and down towards the courtyard below.

There, standing in the open space, was Levia

She looked up towards him before sticking her tongue out.

Helios stared at her for a moment before slowly taking a few steps backwards. His eyes calculated the exact timing and distance needed for his jump.

Then he dashed forwards.

SWOOSH..

CLINK...

For a brief moment, Helios was sent spiralling through the air before crashing down into the courtyard below

THUD.

Helios remained lying on the ground for a moment before slowly rolling over and forcing himself back onto his feet.

"you really need to work on your landing" levia giggles

"I Think I know that" Helios replied, a small smile sneaking its way on to his face

Levia leaned closer, rising onto her tiptoes, fully extending her arm towards Helios shirt. her fingers barley reaching the tag, as she pulls it closer as she examined it with a look of disbelief.

"I think this is supposed to be inside, not outside."

Helios' face flushed with embarrassment.

" Anyway... lessons time"

Levia looked back at him for a moment before simply turning away and skipping down the corridor, leaving Helios standing there.

With a sigh, Helios grabbed the bottom of his shirt and quickly pulled it around the correct way before sprinting down the hallway towards the classroom.

As Helios approached the doorway, he slowed slightly, already knowing the fate that awaited him.

THUD

Ceto front foot steps out of the classroom doorway, bringing Helios movement to an immediate halt.

Helios Looks up towards him with a smile, as if he been caught doing nothing wrong

Cetos' expression remained unchanged.

"Helios."

"Yo-ho, my captain?

A brief silence followed.

"Try again."

"Sorry sir"

His gaze lowered towards the floor.

"You're late. Again," Ceto said, his voice stern and low.

Helios stared back at the floor then back up to Ceto, attempting to appear as though he had a reasonable explanation.

"Sir, Levia was holding me back," Helios said, attempting the weakest white lie he could create.

"When you're out on a mission, would you allow another individual to stop you from completing your selected task?"

Helios swallowed, His eyes dirfting away from cetos.

"Do I need to repeat myself?"

"No, sir," Helios answered, his voice low, eyes remained fixed into the ground.

A sharp voice cut the awkward silence.

"When are you ever going to show up on time to our lessons?" Levia said, her tone edged with sarcasm.

Before heilos could respond ,A harsher voice followed.

"We have more important matters to deal with than this boy's body clock," Drakon said, his words sharp and impatient.

"Enough,"

Ceto said, his voice cutting the conversation.

"You're teammates, not enemies."

The room fell silent.

Helios walked to his seat and sat straight down.

"Today we will not be doing physical training or battle practice," Cetos continued. "This is because tomorrow you will undergo your power assessment"
