Chapter 91 - Chapter 88: The Iron Gourd

'The Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai is possessed only by us and Toroi of the Hidden Cloud... how could Konoha possibly have it too?'

Inside the hidden sandstone cave, Pakura's expression turned extremely unsightly.

And to have it wielded by such a young ninja?

If Konoha truly had a Magnet Release user, and allowed them to grow to maturity, it would be a catastrophic threat to Sunagakure. It meant that in any future conflict, Konoha possessed a direct, hard counter to Suna's primary military doctrine.

Outside of Wind Release, the absolute backbone of Suna's military is the Puppet Brigade.

Sunagakure's puppeteers are the strongest in the ninja world. But metal joints, chakra threads, and concealed weapons are entirely useless against a master of electromagnetism. Toroi of the Cloud was already a massive headache for Suna's puppeteers; if Konoha added a Magnet Release user to their ranks, Suna would be crippled in a ground war.

Thinking of this, Pakura immediately ordered her surviving communications ninja to deploy a specialized hawk.

The intelligence report—specifically detailing the dark-haired Konoha boy, his supersonic projectiles, and the iron sand residue found in her wound—was sent directly to the Fourth Kazekage.

Sunagakure. Kazekage's Office.

Rasa looked at the decrypted intelligence scroll. For the first time in his brief tenure, his weathered, eternally stressed face revealed undisguised shock.

"Konoha... Magnet Release?"

His deep voice echoed in the empty office.

He repeatedly read Pakura's after-action report.

Black metal objects. Supersonic velocity. Localized magnetic force manipulation. Iron Sand.

As a master of Magnet Release himself, Rasa understood the terrifying implications better than Pakura did. Although he preferred to manipulate Gold Dust to suppress the One-Tail, he knew the foundational mechanics of Iron Sand intimately. It was the legacy of the Third Kazekage.

"A brand new Magnet Release user... appearing in Konoha..." Rasa's fingers tapped rhythmically against his mahogany desk, the dull sound echoing in the silence.

"Why have I never received intelligence on this brat before? A sudden, spontaneous mutation? A newly emerged genius?"

Rasa couldn't figure it out. But he remembered another Konoha nobody who had suddenly emerged from obscurity: Minato Namikaze.

Minato had slaughtered his way to the top. Now, he was the Yellow Flash. The terror he inspired was so absolute that standard operating procedure across all enemy villages was "Flee on sight, no penalty."

"We cannot allow another Minato Namikaze to bloom," Rasa concluded coldly.

Having learned the bitter lesson of underestimating Konoha's youth, Rasa held a strict mindset of nipping all dangers in the bud. He had only recently taken the Kazekage seat, but his thinking was already ruthlessly aligned with the absolute prioritization of Suna's interests.

He immediately summoned his ANBU commander and ordered a full-scale intelligence gathering operation targeting the Konoha boy known as Kiyohara.

For the next half-month, the Land of Fire coastline settled into the calm before the storm.

The lull provided Kiyohara with invaluable time to digest his massive power-up and train without interruption.

He knew this peace was fragile. Every day that passed meant Obito Uchiha was undergoing rehabilitation in Madara's subterranean Mountain Graveyard. Once Madara deemed the boy physically ready, the psychological torture would begin.

Furthermore, Kiyohara didn't know if the Konoha camp was already compromised by White Zetsu.

The Zetsu clones possessed the Disguise Technique, the most flawless infiltration jutsu in the ninja world. Once they absorbed a target's chakra, they could replicate it identically. Not even the most elite Sensor Ninja or Byakugan users could tell the difference. Only Naruto, using the Nine-Tails' Malice Sensing, could reliably identify them.

In this era, White Zetsu was virtually undetectable.

A designated training ground, outskirts of the Konoha camp.

Kiyohara stood alone in a clearing, fiercely devoted to mastering his new arsenal.

"Magnet Release: Iron Sand Tsunami!"

He slammed his hands together.

Suddenly, a massive volume of pitch-black iron sand burst from a thick, sealed thermos strapped to his lower back. The sand blew the lid off, surging forward and condensing into a rolling black tide. It rapidly climbed, forming a terrifying wave of iron nearly two meters high.

With a single thought, Kiyohara sent the heavy wave crashing toward a row of thick, ancient training logs!

Rumble!

Under the continuous, grinding impact of the high-density iron sand, the massive tree trunks were effortlessly pulverized, snapping like dry matchsticks.

"The crushing power is decent," Kiyohara nodded in satisfaction. The area-of-effect was wide enough to serve as an excellent field-clearing and suppression tactic.

He waved his hand. The magnetic field shifted, and the iron sand smoothly retracted, flowing like liquid back into the thermos at his waist.

The thermos was originally a large canteen, but Kiyohara had repurposed it.

During his training, he discovered a critical flaw: extracting raw iron sand directly from the bedrock was incredibly chakra-intensive and took too much time in a firefight. Furthermore, not every battlefield had high iron deposits.

To solve this, he adopted Gaara's method. He pre-refined a massive quantity of high-density iron sand and carried it with him. While Gaara carried a giant gourd, Kiyohara opted for a dense, reinforced thermos. It allowed him to deploy his jutsu instantly for emergency offense and defense.

"Next... Magnet Release: Iron Sand Wall."

The iron sand flowed out again, instantly erecting a thick, black wall shimmering with a dark metallic luster. Its structural solidity far exceeded that of a standard Earth Wall.

Kiyohara drew his Tachi, infused it with a heavy Lightning current, and slashed the wall with all his might. The blade sparked violently, but only left a shallow, superficial white scratch on the iron.

"Finally... Magnet Release: Iron Sand Shower."

The wall dissolved. Under his precise control, the iron sand split into hundreds of jagged, fingernail-sized projectiles.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

They shot toward the distant tree trunks like a violent, horizontal hailstorm. The dense piercing sounds rang out, and the wood was instantly riddled with holes, looking like a honeycomb. It was a flawless technique for shredding dense enemy formations.

Having mastered the three fundamental techniques inherited from the Radical Spirit, Kiyohara's mind shifted to more advanced applications.

He looked down at his Tachi, forged from highly conductive Chakra Metal. He recalled the complex physics required to manually aim and fire the Electromagnetic Coin. A bold idea emerged.

'Since my magnetic force can remotely control metal... could I achieve true telekinesis? Like Orochimaru's Kusanagi Sword, could I control my Tachi from a distance?'

He didn't just want to throw it and pull it back with a wire. He wanted to construct a localized, adjustable magnetic force field around the blade, allowing the sword to fly and slash freely through the air as if wielded by an invisible hand.

It was a theoretical application derived from the Magnetic Field Rotation notes.

He tried it. He wrapped the Tachi evenly in Magnet Release chakra and pushed it away.

At first, it was a disaster. The sword wobbled in the air like a drunk bird. Its trajectory was a mess, and several times it nearly boomeranged back and decapitated him.

The technique required a level of microscopic chakra control and spiritual concentration far beyond the simple, brute-force acceleration of the Railgun coin.

But patience and spiritual energy were the two things Kiyohara had in absolute abundance.

He failed, adjusted his polarization, and tried again. Relying on his mutated talent for magnetic control and his monstrous Yin Release, he gradually found the equilibrium.

Hum...

The Tachi let out a low, resonant vibration. It hovered shakily in the air, five feet away from him. Although it wasn't perfectly stable yet, it slowly moved forward and performed a simple, telekinetic thrust entirely according to his will.

"Success," a flash of dark joy appeared in Kiyohara's eyes.
