Xu Shengxia returned to the villa, calm and composed.
Just as she stepped into the living room,
Ke Qingtong came over, holding a glass of warm water.
He wore a dark loungewear set and a pair of gray men's cotton slippers, which gave his handsome features a softer edge.
"Sister, are you thirsty? Have a glass of warm water before you go upstairs."
Ke Qingtong handed her the glass, looking incredibly docile.
Xu Shengxia had been drinking and had been through quite an ordeal, so she was indeed thirsty. She paused, took the glass, and brought it to her lips to drink.
Ke Qingtong's attention, however, was on Xu Shengxia's lips.
'There must have been another man with Sister in that car.'
'Her lips are red and swollen. It's obvious she's been kissed—hard.'
Ke Qingtong felt a pang of discomfort, but he knew perfectly well that he had no right to care.
So, he lowered his gaze and pretended he hadn't noticed.
