The two of them were positioned almost diagonally from each other, the virtual round table nearly isolating them in unapproachable spots.
Quentin Ford wasn't surprised by Jasper Quinn's question; after all, he had stayed behind for the express purpose of explaining himself.
"You're a fine instructor in your own right. I simply admire your style," Quentin Ford said, spreading his hands. "Of course, you wouldn't be wrong to think I'm looking for political allies. I'm fundamentally opposed to turning serious matters into entertainment."
"Even for the sake of crafting a positive image, I don't much care for this method. It's too childish," Quentin Ford laughed.
"However, you should be more careful next time. Don't let them find any dirt on you again." After saying this with a meaningful tone, Quentin Ford glanced at the time and smiled at Jasper Quinn. "Well then, please excuse me. I have another meeting to get to, so I'll be leaving first."
