The greatest characteristic of Void Creatures is that they move in a higher dimension.
Although a part of them remains in the physical world, attacks from this world can only graze their surface, making it nearly impossible to inflict any real damage.
If a Void Creature with a powerful physical body were to descend upon the physical world, it would be considered almost invincible.
"Oh, I've spent some time researching the Void, so I figured out how to deal with Void Creatures."
"Ultimately, the part of you that remains in the physical world and the part that resides in the Void are one and the same... so I just conduct the damage directly into your body. That's all."

This requires not only familiarity with Void Creatures but also mastery of Control and knowledge of life structures.
The amount of knowledge needed for that is by no means small.
