The Debt of Anger
Leon expression relaxed once more.
A calm smile returned.
"Senior Sister."
"Hmm?" Maya asked
Leon looked toward the distant horizon.
Then spoke lightly.
"Let's go."
A dangerous gleam appeared in his eyes.
"I'll help you vent your anger."
The sea breeze drifted through the rocky coastline outside the cave, carrying the scent of salt and ancient stone. Leon's long black hair swayed gently behind him as his purple eyes narrowed toward the distant sky.
There was a smile on his face.
A calm smile.
Yet Maya knew him well enough by now to understand what it meant.
Someone was about to suffer.
A faint smile appeared on her beautiful face.
"You really don't forget things, do you?"
Leon chuckled.
"I forget many things."
He glanced sideways at her.
"But not things that concern people important to me."
The simple words struck Maya harder than any grand declaration could have.
Her heart trembled slightly.
