Shinsu chuckled aloud after Indhra's interesting words.
" Really?" She started laughing," That's what you came up with?" She stopped laughing with a smile remaining on her face.
Indhra blushed deeply after seeing her cute smile.
He gave a gentle smile before saying," Well, I mean it!"
" I see…" She let out a sigh," If that's the case, then we will spend as much time as possible, since we can't let out the demon inside you, right?" She chuckled.
" Sure…Even I will come with you guys in this deal!" Hidoi randomly crept in on the conversation.
" Who the hell are you!" A jolt of sadness spread in Hidoi's body after the harsh words spoken by his new friend.
" Just wait…one day I will kill you if you talk like that!"
Indhra just smiled, a gentle one, one that he hadn't used in years.
Shinsu was happily smiling.
" Shinsu! Shinsu! Shinsu!" Indhra woke up from his trance.
She was no longer happy. Her eyes pale, her lips red like the crimson moon, her hair covered in blood, spurring out of her own neck.
" Shinsu! Wake up…WAKE UP!"
After many years, God Armour had shed so many tears.
He looked pathetic, as if begging for forgiveness, forgiveness for his old sins.
Hijoi commanded all the warriors to start leaving this area.
" Leave the God Armour safe…"
All the warriors were confused, but no one went against his order. Everyone backed up from Indhra and left him alone on the ground.
" You are growing colder day by day, Indhra!"
" I am not going to give up…until I kill him someday!"
" Actions have consequences! You'll be punished, that's the reality!"
" I'll punish him before anyone else punishes me; I will gladly accept it later!"
Those were the words you said, didn't you? Were you expecting this as a punishment!? He screeched from his insides.
Instead of fighting, he held her hand tight with both of his hands and just cried.
Why? Why? WHY!? Why am I such a loser? Mother…Brother…Shinsu! I lost all of you…WHY!?
It's a curse…The curse of hatred…it will never end, and that is all it is! You came to kill me, Indhra. Someday, someone else will kill you, and the curse continues!
I don't know what to do…But…if it will satisfy me, I'll be a part of that hatred as much as possible!
Indhra quickly stopped crying. It was sudden, so sudden that Hijoi turned back to check whether the God Armour was mentally stable or not.
Indhra quietly stood up with exhaustion clearly visible on his face.
He calmly lifted his left hand and gently lifted his head.
********
" Hidoi! Why are you still awake?" Kara woke up from the bed, looking as sleepy and slow as a sloth. She was fully naked, and so was Hidoi, who stood beside the balcony's gate, which was made of glass.
" Anyway…I am hungry!" Kara said, holding her position just opposite to Hidoi, with her exhaustion suddenly disappearing with the word food.
" That's what you do every damn hour!" Hidoi said, a bit annoyed.
" Wrong…Every minute!"
There was silence.
Kara gently stared at Hidoi's eyes, which were glaring at the bright moon.
" Hidoi?" Kara asked gently, with no sign of excitement, like she was worried," What's wrong?"
" Something's just wrong about today! It feels…wrong."
" Huh?"
" I don't know…I think I am just very sleepy!" He rolled his eyes.
" Stress, huh?" She grinned cunningly," Wanna do it again?" She whispered.
Hidoi chuckled," You are active today, aren't you? Sure…"
Kara closed in, and so did Hidoi. Both of them gently held each other's heads before kissing on the lips.
Bhaam!!!
There was an explosion just below them. It felt like the whole floor was collapsing.
" What the f**k was that!?" Kara asked before looking out of the glass door to see a sword-like object exploding out of the castle and travelling straight to somewhere.
Hidoi gasped in fear," Kara…" He took a deep breath," We must hurry!"
" Yeah!"
A thunder cloud appeared far from the castle, just above Indhra's cafe.
Both of them quickly put on their clothes, and that was when someone knocked on the door.
Hidoi opened it with Kara to see two people wearing an interesting choice of clothes.
" Lord Hidoi! Lord Kara! No one else is ready to calm him down; you both must hurry!" One of the people shouted.
" We know!" Hidoi gasped before pushing them apart to make space and went outside the room.
Indhra…Why!?
********
A sword came exploding from the left wall, arriving directly in Indhra's fist.
He slowly revealed his eyes, a yellow lightning blade, and below them was dry skin.
The sword started to glow pale blue before engulfing itself in blue lightning.
Is that? Hijoi gasped at the look of the weapon.
Indhra lifted the sword, pointing it to the sky, at the black thunderstorm.
With a blast, lightning sprang down from the cloud, directly getting absorbed by the sword in Indhra's hand.
His lost right hand started to reform from the vessels to the skin.
His body started to turn pale blue, with lightning sparks erupting from his soul. The length of his shirt increased—a cross formed behind him. The scar in his hand glowed yellow before emitting a black strip spreading across his eyes to his hair.
" Masa…mune!" Hijoi slowly gasped while covering his eyes from the shockwave of the blast.
Indhra calmly exhaled, closed his eyes one last time before opening them again as he saw all the warriors getting ready to fight.
All the warriors charged at him at once, except Hijoi, who retreated a bit.
With a spin, Indhra killed four people at once before walking forward. All the warriors halted at the same time.
Indhra sliced a person's arm, kicked his ankle and pierced his sword right through the warrior's skull before slicing it out. The blood poured into the other warrior's eyes, blinding him. Indhra used his free, newly healed, right hand to poke in the warrior's chest, before pulling out his heart and throwing it at the other warrior.
He jumped up, slicing a few people mid-air while spinning and slammed his sword right through a warrior, cutting him in half.
A warrior attacked him from behind. Indhra glanced at him from the front, turned back with a speed incommensurable, and sliced right through the warrior's head, cutting his brain in half.
He turned left, slammed his sword on the foot, pinning the other warrior, before kicking him with speed, which caused him to bounce back and hit another warrior.
Indhra lifted his arm, continuing with his sword, lifting, slicing the pinned warrior at the same time, before reaching Indhra's palm.
Indhra calmly stood in the centre.
A person dared to approach him with a weapon, like a nunchaku. He swung it mid-air, but Indhra noticed him before he could. Before he could realise what had happened, his lower body had disappeared, and Indhra appeared behind him.
Indhra, with each step, slashed each warrior.
Organs, blood, torn muscles, and many body parts were scattered around the floor.
Indhra came to a stop as he saw two people heading toward him. He killed two birds with one slash while his eyes shone with each movement.
Sometimes, the warriors tried poking, but the God Armour instead appeared behind them, killing them with one slash.
Sometimes, he tore through their swords, mocked them, and then killed them.
The massacre didn't end.
With only a few warriors left, Indhra decided to go slow.
He appeared just in front of a person, punched his gut, twisted his fist up, and internally wounded the heart.
He slashed right through a person's neck. There was no blood for some time, until he fell to the ground as a fountain erupted.
A warrior holding three kunais. Indhra held two, while one pierced his chest. He quickly threw the kunais back at him and then pulled out the kunai from his chest, appearing to teleport in front of the last warrior, before throwing the kunai down, pinning his feet. He quickly slashed right through him.
Indhra calmly let out a sigh as he saw Hijoi walking towards him.
" God Armour! Are you mad at me?" Hijoi calmly asked with a straight face.
Indhra didn't reply; instead inhaled and exhaled deeply.
Hijoi covered a fork with Mana in his hand and threw it at Indhra.
Indhra didn't notice until Hijoi appeared behind him with a kick to his back, which startled him.
Indhra crashed out of the ceiling, flying across the sky of Luvinia.
He saw a fork before it turned into Hijoi with his fist covered in water.
Indhra felt a gut-wrenching punch, lifting him higher to the skies.
Hijoi used his water mana as a jet engine to propel him up.
While Indhra was lying back mid air, Hijoi kicked his back, tapped it, giving him a mark as he flew up even more.
Suddenly, Indhra was down, and Hijoi was up.
Hijoi covered his fist with Mana, which slowly turned black.
Hybrid Punch!
It landed on Indhra's back, crashing him down on the floor of the cafe.
Hijoi crashed down too, with a lot of blood pumping out of him.
My Mana reserves are running low because of that projection guy…God damnit!
Indhra slowly stood up with his palm forward.
" You have a lot of skills," Indhra said," But all of them are useless in front of the strongest, am I right?"
Hijoi deeply grunted before closing his eyes.
Indhra started to float high with his palm holding the sword, moving up. All of the pale blue aura surrounding him concentrated in his sword, which slowly started to change its shape. The aura around Indhra dissipated.
Hijoi slowly made a hand sign and clapped with both of his palms.
" I'll honour your death as a formidable warrior with one of my strongest moves! With this, you'll vapourise before even realising that you are-"
Suddenly, his surroundings turned sky blue.
He checked his surroundings to notice a beach suddenly, and he was standing on top of the sand.
" Nice beach, right?" Hijoi's voice entered his ear canal.
Indhra looked to his side to see Hijoi sitting on the sand, slowly making a sand castle.
" Sit down, let's chat for some time!"
Indhra wanted to believe that something was wrong, but his gut told him otherwise. Without any further thinking, he sat beside his enemy.
" You like peace, right?" Hijoi was straightforward.
" What do you mean? And where am I?"
" This is my Mana Domain. And of course, it's not working properly because I commanded it like that. I just want to chat for some time with you."
" Everyone likes peace, but no one has achieved it yet…" Indhra replied to his first question.
" I realised that our beliefs are quite similar…I…want a world where no one dies! Yet! Whenever I try, it fails, and people die even more!" Hijoi started to show emotion in his tone.
Indhra grunted in anger. He punched Hijoi's face and pinned him against the sand," WHY THE F**K DID YOU KILL HER WHEN YOU BELIEVE IN PEACE!"
Hijoi didn't resist," I don't know…" Indhra jolted as Hijoi started to tear up," My brother was killed by her, and for some reason, hatred just boiled in me!" He started sobbing with each word," This curse…IT RUINED ME!"
Indhra left his body and retreated a few metres.
Hijoi sat up and brushed his eyes to clean his eyes.
" I killed my own father a year ago!" Indhra dropped this topic randomly.
Hijoi was flabbergasted, but continued to listen.
" I felt…hollow, after that incident! Hollow like the revenge was over, but…something was still incomplete inside me. I realised that peace and love can fill that hollowness, and it did for some time. But then…I felt hollow again, with my purpose after she left me!"
The realisation was simple," Revenge shouldn't be a game for anyone…" Both uttered the same thing at the same time.
" You gain nothing after winning!" Hijoi completed the sentence.
Both of them were at a loss for words after knowing how similar they were, yet so different.
" I wonder why…" Hijoi looked at the ground below them. It was no longer a beach; it was a lake covered in blood, the blood of every person Hijoi ever murdered," I wonder why I killed so many people, even after knowing the facts of this world…" He drenched his hand in the lake and pulled out strands of hair stuck to each other, covering the bodies of the people Hijoi killed.
Indhra looked at his fist, now covered in red. He related to him, even if he was the enemy.
Hijoi started tearing up as he realised," My mind has become such a damn mess! Once I think violence is cruel, the next moment, I am murdering an innocent!" His voice carried the weight of his words.
Indhra was again at a loss for words. He had done the same thing. Moments before his hand was sliced up, he talked about non-violence, and in the next instance, he murdered all the warriors present in the cafe.
" Hijoi! We are both the same!" Hijoi lifted his head up with his eyes teary, remembering his brother.
" Sometimes, we must search more!" Indhra said before pulling out colourful moss from the lake surface," Sometimes, even amidst all the chaos, there is peace! You just weren't searching for it, that's the wrong you did!" Indhra said with a comforting smile.
Both of them dropped the items from their palms and embraced each other.
Hijoi cried while Indhra hid his tears and instead smiled.
" You can now rest…Hijoi! I realise now, you were the true warrior! Let all the stress in my hands now!"
Hijoi, while sobbing, asked a timid question," For me…Can you bring true peace and freedom to people like Hojoi?"
Indhra took his time; his smile faded away as Hijoi coughed out blood," I will…try!"
Indhra opened his eyes, and in front of him was Hijoi's cut-out body, sliced in half by Indhra's attack.
I can't promise… I will try!
********
Indhra stood amidst the blood, organs, and torn muscles, no more in his pale-blue form, now completely devastated from the chest.
He walked, stepping on them, towards Shinsu's corpse. Each step hurt him more, not physically, but mentally.
In the bloody night, a single shadow now left alone was flustered without a place to belong. It looked pathetic, as if begging for forgiveness. But a few people must believe that the planted seeds are blooming now.
" Indhra, you're growing colder day by day!"
" I am not going to give up…until I kill him someday!"
" Actions have consequences! You'll be punished, that's the reality!"
" I'll punish him before anyone else punishes me; I will gladly accept it later!"
While remembering these days, the shadow thought, Can't we go back to the way we were?
The continuous waves of darkness had swallowed him, but he would move forward, destroying the past before pondering, Will it ever come to me?
He dropped in front of her lying corpse.
At first, he just looked at her without making any comments. But that was not going to be true for the latter. He grunted, clenched his jaw, and screamed to the night sky.
He had realised that the cafe was too damaged to even function properly at this point, so was his heart.
Yeah, he had promised Hijoi, but it was a lie. From inside, he was hollow, more hollow than mindless devils.
It all began then, when his father massacred his family. And now, it began again after Indhra massacred his new family, with his weakness.
He was dead from the inside.
He gently grabbed her soft, pale hand with both of his hands and kissed it, before the fountain of tears exploded.
He started sobbing while his lips dragged themselves on the opposite side of her hand.
A warm hope engulfed him; it felt kind, trying to help. He saw pale, almost invisible hands embracing him from behind. The hands disappeared as he noticed them. Before leaving, the hand slowly pointed to the left.
Indhra saw that Shinsu's mobile was also covered in blood. With dry skin beneath his eyes, he grabbed the phone and turned it on, entering the password, which he remembered was her name.
Why was he turning on the mobile? You may ask the question. Inside his mind, he wanted to see what she was going through before the night began.
He saw the voice recording app open.
There was only one recording present, which was about 2-3 minutes long and was recorded a few hours before the event actually began.
He started the recording and felt warm after listening to her beautiful voice. Oh, how much he neglected the simple things. We don't understand the meaning of something until it is lost.
" Indhra…I…I know you will listen to this! I don't have much time left, so I just want to leave a voice before dying. If you still think that my name is Shinsu Trix, you're wrong; it's Shinsu Setsu! Yeah…I lied to you. I am sure you realised that pretty quickly. I…We, the Setsu clan, have a special, unique trait; we can see glimpses of the future in our dreams, so I saw my own death a long time ago, even before we met. Also, I am not from Luvinia. I came to Luvinia from Menchent when I was four, and met 47, then met you. You were just a mission to me to get the right future. I know…All these things may feel random, but trust me, it will be important, cause I saw a lot of the future ahead of my death! I know what's going to happen! In the end, I just wanna say that, even if you all were just a mission for me, I…loved all of you, till the end! And I promise, I'll never leave your side!
Surprisingly, this was expected of her. It was obvious that she was lying.
The tears didn't stop; her words increased them.
He lay his head on her chest and sobbed pathetically.
Kyra from the corners saw everything. The guy who yammered about peace, non-violence, had killed more than 20 men in front of her, and now was crying pathetically like a loser. She felt the emotion, but was too tired, and quickly fell unconscious. But before that happened, she felt a pale spirit around her, but was too tired to understand anything.
Suddenly, there was a bang behind Indhra. The main gate was open again.
Indhra didn't give a reaction; instead, he turned back on his pale-blue form and ran as fast as he could with his fist high, but was stopped just in front of the person who came inside the cafe.
It was Hidoi. Kara quickly entered the cafe too to see Indhra standing just in front of Hidoi with his fist clenched high, with teary eyes.
Without any hesitation, the mentally tired Indhra's head fell on top of Hidoi's elbow, before embracing him, turning off his pale-blue form while sobbing.
" I…" He sobbed," I am sorry…"
The couple saw the destruction, the bloody mess.
Hidoi, with sad eyes, gently dropped Indhra's unconscious body on the floor before sprinting, and so did Kara.
" Shinsu!" Both of them shouted at the same time before dropping in front of the corpse, both of them already teared up, especially Hidoi.
They both cried endlessly in front of the corpse. They tried their best, trying to revive her, but everything failed.
Hidoi realised that this massacre would be in the pages of history.
And so it was called The Tokyo Massacre!
AFTERMATH OF THE TOKYO MASSACRE.
Derrick Shogun: Dead.
Dunn Smith: Dead.
Shinsu Setsu: Dead.
Indhra: Arrested by the Luvinia government for the charges of murder of an innocent, but…did that even happen? Hidoi, Kara, Kyra, and Aldred pondered over the same question, but the new king commanded life imprisonment.
Kyra Trix and Aldred Avery: Remained safe as requested by Hidoi, but were considered disgraceful in the society of the middle-class region. They both started a loaning company, just after they turned 18 in 2138 AD, which boomed. Kyra was diagnosed with severe depression and GAD(General Anxiety Disorder), and quickly got addicted to cigarettes.
After the event, 47 was hailed as the king of Luvinia, as it was announced that Akuma had passed away.
The event went outdoors to kingdoms like Menchent and Silvia Kingdom.
The Silvia Kingdom finally ordered the execution of the Lemoyne terrorist organisation due to world tension. This laid the beginnings of Lemoyne trying to take over the Silvia Kingdom.
Far across the lands of Japan, in Kyoto, stood the middle-aged men Jogo Gustav and Lynx Spector from their bed in Menchent.
In Tokyo, Kyra gently stroked the guitar gifted by her father while smoking.
47 sat on his throne, tearing up beneath the mask.
Kara was slowly gasping in anxiety in the middle of the night, cooking up something.
Shido Setsu from the cage beside Indhra's cell calmly mourned his sister's death, getting ready for whatever was cooking up for him in the future.
END OF VOLUME-1
