Chapter 131 - The Guardian's Power, Part 1

Genesis extended his consciousness across the entire Main Plane.

His perception spread like an invisible tide, passing through mountains, forests, oceans, and cities. Millions of voices reached his mind at the same time. Conversations, surface thoughts, prayers, laughter, arguments...

Normally, he filtered all of it automatically.

Not now.

He was searching for any trace.

Any anomaly.

Any clue.

Questions without answers tormented his mind.

How many of them were there?

How much did they know?

How powerful were they?

It was impossible for someone to have reduced Loki and Elena to that state so easily.

Or at least, that was what he wanted to believe.

As strange as it seemed, he also didn't feel that they were in immediate danger of death.

Something was happening to them.

Something serious.

But his instincts weren't warning him of a direct threat.

Perhaps he was wrong.

Perhaps his senses were misinterpreting the situation.

Perhaps he had very little time left before everything became even worse.

The uncertainty was unbearable.

The wind roared around him.

Black snow rose in swirling currents while enormous quantities of Umbra energy continued pouring out from the nearby portal.

A few meters away, the gigantic crimson egg continued to pulse.

Each heartbeat released waves of energy that spread through the surroundings.

And beside it stood Loki and Elena.

Motionless.

Silent.

Like statues.

Genesis clenched his teeth.

He couldn't afford to waste time.

His consciousness continued expanding.

It swept through every corner of the Main Plane.

He searched cities.

Settlements.

Dungeons.

Remote mountains.

Forgotten forests.

He found nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

His expression darkened.

Then he increased the amount of power he was using.

Origin Energy began to surge around him.

The snow started to tremble.

Even space itself seemed to ripple slightly.

Without stopping, he extended his consciousness beyond the veil.

Toward the Celestial Realm.

And then toward the Nightmare Realm.

If his enemies were hiding there, he would find them.

He had to find them.

But the results were exactly the same.

Nothing.

There were no traces.

No footprints.

No signs.

As if whoever was responsible simply did not exist.

Frustration began to build inside him.

Could they have escaped?

Had they taken all the information they needed and vanished?

No.

He shook his head.

Refusing to accept a possibility did not make it false.

But this was not the time to dwell on that scenario.

He needed to remain calm.

He always repeated the same rule to himself.

Think first.

Act afterward.

That principle had kept all three of them alive.

But following it was becoming harder and harder.

His gaze shifted toward Loki.

Then toward Elena.

Neither of them had moved.

And that only made things worse.

The more time passed, the harder it became to ignore the fear.

Because that was what it was.

Fear.

An emotion he rarely experienced.

Fear of losing them.

Fear of dying if that happened.

Fear of arriving too late.

Fear of not understanding what was happening.

His consciousness continued expanding.

Farther.

Deeper.

Faster.

Millions of images crossed his mind every second.

Oceans.

Continents.

Creatures.

Conversations.

Everything appeared and vanished.

It was an absurd amount of information.

And yet...

He found nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

The feeling of unease in his heart grew stronger.

What kind of enemy could hide this completely?

Was it someone so powerful that even he couldn't detect them?

Or was it a trap?

The possibility made his expression become even grimmer.

If he fell for the provocation, the consequences would be enormous.

He knew that.

Better than anyone, he understood the price of using his full power.

The more power he released, the harsher the backlash would be afterward.

He wouldn't die or be injured, but his power would be sealed.

The more power he spent, the longer the seal would last.

He had already tested it before.

Not with all of his power.

Only a small portion.

But it had been enough to make an estimate.

Then he looked at Loki again.

And afterward at Elena.

Logic began to lose ground.

Reason continued speaking to him.

Telling him to calm down.

Telling him to analyze.

Telling him to wait.

But his emotions were slowly drowning it out.

Origin Energy around his body intensified.

The air became heavy.

The snow lifted from the ground.

Small cracks appeared in the nearby space before immediately sealing themselves.

All of his attention was focused on finding answers.

And he found none.

Not a single one.

The silence became unbearable.

Then it happened.

A scream.

Then another.

His entire body tensed.

He knew those voices.

He knew them perfectly.

They belonged to Loki and Elena.

They weren't words.

They weren't sentences.

They were screams of pure agony.

Screams so intense that they pierced his mind like spears.

The composure he had maintained until that moment shattered.

All rationality.

All patience.

All self-control.

Broken.

Like a dam finally giving way.

And behind it lay an entire ocean of suppressed emotions.

Rage.

Fear.

Desperation.

Concern.

All of them exploded at the same time.

Origin Energy roared around him.

The sky trembled.

And for the first time since becoming what he was now...

Genesis stopped trying to hold himself back.
