Chapter 28 - CHAPTER 27: PREPARATION FOR TOURNAMENT

The grand dining hall of the Khandaker estate was filled with the heavy aroma of a post-war feast. For the first time in what felt like weeks, the entire family was seated together around the massive obsidian table. Mufasa sat at the head, his imposing frame relaxed but his sharp eyes scanning his sons. To his sides sat Khamata and the rest of the family, sharing a rare moment of peace after the absolute demolition of the Icerian vanguard.

Mufasa tore off a piece of meat, his deep voice cutting through the clatter of plates. "The war with Frostera's vanguard is over, but our warriors cannot grow stagnant. To prepare the next generation of prodigies for the true horrors of the higher realms, I have organized an Under-20 Tournament."

Khamata paused, her golden aura flaring slightly as she rested her hands on the table. Her eyes darkened with a maternal warning. "Do not let your guard down during this event. My tracking senses tell me that the Duke will come again. He is a king who lost his entire legacy; a cornered beast like that will stop at nothing to strike back."

Lam slowly chewed his food, his expression completely blank as his mind ran countless parallel data simulations of future threats. He adjusted the cybernetic spine of his gauntlet and spoke a single, flat word: "Ok."

"An Under-20 tournament? Man, that is going to be pure fun!" Asadullah laughed boisterously, slamming his fist onto the table, causing the plates to rattle. "A perfect place to show these young prodigies what real combat looks like!"

Meanwhile, far beyond the planetary atmosphere, floating at the absolute center of Colex-5411025—the massive, pure red star of the Anipla Planet's solar system that blazed at a terrifying 5,411,025 degrees Celsius and stretched across 5,411,025 light-years—the Five-Armed Man stood completely unaffected by the stellar heat. He idly spun his cosmic plunger on his lower right finger, his central third eye blinking as he looked down toward the planet.

"Ah," the Five-Armed Man whispered into the roaring solar flares, a thin, vicious grin carving across his face. "An Under-20 playground. This is going to be fun."

THE ANNOUNCEMENT

The next morning, the capital plaza of Anipla Planet was packed to the absolute brim with young, aspiring warriors. The natural sunlight was bright, reflecting off the repaired structures of the city. Mufasa stood high upon the royal balcony, his voice echoing across the entire sector with absolute authority.

"Listen up, fighters of the new era!" Mufasa boomed. "The Under-20 Tournament is officially established to test your limits. This tournament will be divided into five distinct parts to evaluate every aspect of tactical dominance: 1v1, 5v5, Battle Royale, 2v2, and Team Battle Royale!"

The crowd roared in excitement, but Mufasa raised his hand, silencing the plaza instantly to explain the structure of the first event.

"The 1v1 matches will be held first," Mufasa explained, his gaze sweeping over the crowd. "The competition is strictly structured into groups. Each group contains exactly five fighters, and only the absolute peak of each bracket will advance to the next phase."

THE BRACKETS ARE LOCKED

Down in the competitor vaults, Lam stood isolated in a corner, completely ignoring the chatter of the surrounding teenagers. He wasn't listening to the tournament announcers; he was listening strictly to the tactical calculations running inside his own head.

He tapped the screen of his gauntlet, checking the official tournament registry as the brackets locked into place.

[TOURNAMENT REGISTRY SUITE]

COMPETITOR: KHANDAKER G.O.D L TECH DINO LION (LAM)

PLACEMENT: GROUP 5

CURRENT MATCHUP: 1V1 — ROUND 1

OPPONENT: MASHA

Lam's eyes narrowed slightly as his psychological assessment program brought up a brief holographic profile of his opponent. A girl named Masha was standing across the arena registry, her energy signature fluctuating with a unique, uncalculated baseline.

"Group 5," Lam muttered to himself, his evil, brilliant smile returning to his face as the floor beneath him began to rise, elevating him toward the central grand arena. "Let's see if she's worth the data space."

CLIFFHANGER:

As Lam steps out onto the dirt of the 1v1 arena, Masha steps out from the opposing gate, her hands coated in a strange, vibrating energy frequency that catches the attention of Lam's primary gauntlet sensors.
