"Boss, are you doing okay?"
Dominic, who had just taken off his black mask and sat down on his chair, looked up at his assistant. He gave a quiet hum in response, his face completely tired. "Did you gather the personal information about that maid I asked for earlier?" he asked, his voice low.
"Yes, Boss, right here," the assistant replied, stepping forward. He gave the thin file over to the desk.
Dominic opened the folder and looked through the few pages inside. There really wasn't much information written down in here. The records simply said she was rescued from a cruel slave market years ago and had worked for the family ever since. But as he turned the page, something specific caught his attention. It was the exact date. The date when she was first sold to the black market as a child was written in clear ink... July 19th.
The date seemed incredibly familiar to him.
