Chapter 65 - Exit

Then a puppet built of cotton fell from her palm. It had a large cross sign on it and was attached with those strings.

The angel's body began to levitate. His pupils went completely white. His shadow wasn't even there as the puppet had swallowed it. Then from the sky itself strings came out. They didn't wrap themselves around his hands.

They pierced through his flesh, travelling inside his veins like roots in the ground.

Fyuri's expressions didn't change. She moved deeper into the forest even though she hadn't begun to control the puppet. The angel was being dragged to follow her as the strings moved his body forward. Their length seemed endless.

His body was no longer in his control. His thoughts, muscles, vision, even body movements were now in Fyuri's hands. The puppet was swinging with her every movement of her hand.

"I don't really need you, not even as a slave." Fyuri remarked as if he could hear her words. And he could, just he couldn't do anything. He could only face it, swallow the emotions and suffocate with them.

Then Fyuri stopped. As she did, the strings attached to the angel stopped as well.

Her hand moved in a strange kind of urge that screamed "What if". Her addiction to "What ifs" was almost like a dolphin's addiction to pufferfish. Even though she had seen the same thing hundreds of times, the anticipation never left her.

Her fingers grabbed the puppet's legs, closing their distance. The angel's legs came closer as well.

The excitement of the anticipation was crystal clear on Fyuri's face as she tore the puppet's legs. The cotton came out. Then she turned to look at the angel. His legs also were separating from the body.

Thud!!

They fell on the ground before the rest of the body.

The angel was still unmoved though all the pain and sensations were still being felt. However, he was unable to release any of it.

"Well, I am not going to kill you." Fyuri said. Yet she wasn't showing mercy. The actual reason was just that the anticipation had ended.

Then the strings which were attached to Fyuri's fingertips broke free. At the same time the strings which were attached to the angel's body pulled themselves back, retreating into the sky.

The puppet fell and then Fyuri put her hands in her black pants pockets. The angel's body crashed on the dirt. Even so the sound didn't even affect Fyuri. She didn't even turn behind. She began to move away from the angel carefreely.

Leaving the angel who still hadn't gotten control of his body back. Still all the pain was flooding in his brain but trapped inside. Even after Fyuri was gone, the angel's shadow didn't return.

Bluesy was wandering in a different world. She was impressed by their fox and cat-like ears which were on people's heads.

She reached for her own head with both palms, realising she had tails but not ears like them.

"They don't have multiple tails but I do." A feeling of uniqueness and disappointment crossed her face.

But before she could move from that place, guards who were coming toward her were almost near. People stepped aside, moving toward the stalls to give the guards space.

The guards surrounded her, aiming their spears toward her.

"Don't move."

A male said. All the guards had worn normal citizen clothes as they weren't the ones who were sent into battle. But they all had their name's first alphabet letter attached as a label on their clothes on the right side of their chests.

"Why do you have multiple tails? You don't even have ears." The same guard said.

Then a female interrupted who had cat-like ears on her head. "She can't hear us if she doesn't have ears."

Before Bluesy could explain who she was,

Another male who had cat ears too injected.

"Is this a new disease? Or is she one of them?"

As he said, the guards' grip on the spears tightened.

"Are you an angel?"

"No." Bluesy replied instantly. "I am a Divine and True Reality's Fragment's daughter."

"A Divine." Their muscles relaxed. The spears were dropped.

"Who is True Reality?" The same female who had cat ears asked.

"I have never seen 'Mother' but 'Identity' told me." Bluesy spread her arms. "'Mother' is everywhere, in everything, in you." She pointed a finger at the male who had cat ears. "In me." She placed the same hand's palm on her chest. "And in everything that exists or doesn't exist."

"And also." Bluesy's voice hardened. "Don't call Mother by her name. You don't call your mother by her name, do you?"

"Divines say random things. How can they believe in something they never saw or felt?" That male remarked before they began to move away.

Then a few thoughts came into Bluesy's mind too innocent yet something everyone has asked and is still asking.

Is believing in something that we don't know exists worth it? Does it even exist just because we believe it to?

Though she shook those thoughts away. "Mother exists."

Her gaze landed on the giant serpent who was far away from there.

Not far for Bluesy. She reached there in the blink of an eye.

Burned bodies of the warriors were fallen there, spread like unwanted waste. Even their faces were unrecognisable.

No other warrior was coming there anymore. Perhaps they had accepted that they couldn't defeat the giant serpent.

As she moved toward the eyes, yet knowing they burn anyone who comes in their sight, she wasn't afraid even for a moment.

The giant serpent's pupils immediately moved, ready to burn Bluesy.

However the fire was redirected onto the giant serpent's eyes. It didn't scream because the flexible cover on its eyes saved it.

Bluesy wasn't even the one redirecting it. It was "True Reality" herself actively protecting her as always.

Now the giant serpent's eyes didn't seem to move from her. At the same time they were burning but unharmed.

Bluesy formed a fist, ready to land it, but a memory flash stopped her.

In the space's darkness, Lyanna and Bluesy were standing at the border of a massive black hole. Yet they were completely unaffected by it as "True Reality" was redirecting and erasing any conceptual or physical harm.

"I can't kick this big ball. So it will be no one's." She formed a fist, moving her right leg behind before she aimed the punch toward the black hole with full force. The black hole didn't turn into dust.

It was like the black hole was never there.

In the present, she placed her hand on her chin, thinking for a way to make the angel vanish.

She was standing casually while the giant serpent was trying to burn her again and again.

Then an idea popped up in her brain.

She moved her right arm forward, lowered her middle finger toward the palm and then placed the thumb on the middle finger's nail.

Before she could tighten it to create more force, she stopped again.

Bluesy was standing in a different Earth. She formed the same gesture. Lyanna was beside her. The force aimed at the giant serpent and then she released it. The giant serpent did turn into dust but the people were also turned into dust.

In the present, she jumped on the giant serpent's back. The ground below her cracked. She landed on its back and then tapped her finger on its back, aiming for low impact. But that was not enough to even cause a scratch on the giant serpent's back.

One of the giant serpent's eyes stopped burning as Bluesy was no longer in their sight for the fire to be redirected at them.

Then Bluesy attempted again but with more pressure. The impact was there but still not enough.

Then the space beside her cracked open. It was not a portal.

Bluesy was not surprised nor startled when Lyanna came out of it. The crack didn't close.

"I escaped." Lyanna gave a devilish laugh.
