Chapter 149 - Science God 149: Virtual Artificial Heaven

"Everything's ready. All the names are assigned—here's the list."

Nunotaba Shinobu sent a file to Samuel's phone, containing over 20,000 names.

Samuel scanned it, memorizing each Misaka Sister's name and distinguishing their features through a unique wavelength.

"Good work. Gather them in the underground lab and activate the equipment I provided. Begin the plan."

"Yes…"

Nunotaba nodded and set to work.

It was simple—done in just ten minutes.

Through the transparent glass, Samuel looked down at the Misaka Sisters, each lying in devices resembling massage chairs. Though they now had names, they were still arranged by number, nearly identical.

"Activate!"

At Samuel's command, no further input was needed. Strange, mystical lights flared from the devices.

Purple? Blue? Red? No—those weren't mere colors but intricate, interwoven hues.

Ethereal and bizarre, the colors baffled even the doctoral-level researchers, who couldn't identify them.

The hues materialized as a mist, slowly spreading. Within it, glowing points shone like stars.

In an instant, the glass divided reality from fantasy.

Inside was a mystical domain, a glow from another world. The researchers' gazes were glued to the enchanting mist, all yearning to dive in and study it.

Scientists and magicians were alike in their curiosity for the unknown.

Magicians called it "mystery"; scientists, "the undiscovered."

The 20,000 Misaka Sisters logged into a "client" called Scientific Magic.

Samuel's approach to Aleister's goal was through Scientific Magic.

Instead of individual pressure, he applied it to all 20,000 simultaneously, letting them inspire each other.

Aleister's original method was brutal: kill one Misaka Sister to instill crisis in the others, tapping into their soul's faint connection to amplify electromagnetic forces and construct a "virtual world."

Samuel's method was more refined. Using his unique Grimoire of Eternal Progress, he stressed their bodies and pseudo-spirits, merging them with their true souls to create auxiliary souls.

Linked together, the 20,000 Sisters formed a "virtual world" within Scientific Magic.

This gave Samuel control over the core of Aleister's plan: the Artificial Heaven.

Using this Artificial Heaven, a unique entity outside the Kabbalistic Four Worlds, he could counter-invade those realms.

An empty shell of a world, though, was pointless.

"Everyone! Want to explore the mystical? Feel the wisdom of ancient worlds!"

Before they could respond, the mystical mist pierced the air-tight glass, enveloping the room. It seemed material but wasn't.

The mist enthralled the researchers.

This was "mystery"—the "unknown." Humanity's instinct was curiosity, a drive to chase the undiscovered!

Tiny electric arcs flickered on the Sisters' bodies. At that moment, they all reached Level 1.

Their electromagnetic forces, unified by a single soul, perfectly meshed to form a virtual world.

It was fragile—too weak to join the Kabbalistic Four Worlds without being crushed.

It needed growth, more wisdom, more nourishment.

The opportunity was near. Aiwass had hinted to Samuel that the time was almost right.

Samuel estimated six months, given Aiwass's vastly different sense of time.

"Ugh~"

One by one, the researchers collapsed, their minds overwhelmed. Nunotaba, the last to fall, was caught by Samuel—because she was a cute girl, naturally.

The first Scientific Magic Transmission experiment succeeded!

The Misaka Sisters awoke from their devices, looking up at the man behind the glass, holding Nunotaba.

From Misaka Kyoko's memories, they knew he saved her and thousands of their sisters.

Without him, the original plan would've continued, killing thousands, maybe tens of thousands.

They didn't understand gratitude or other emotions. They simply felt a direct, stable connection to Samuel.

"…Next, teach them some common sense and combat skills."

Samuel gazed at the Sisters below, deep in thought.

Elsewhere, Accelerator—no, now Suzushina Yuriko, as Samuel named her—lay in bed, tossing and turning, sleepless. Her face flushed as her hands occasionally brushed her chest or hips.

Her mind replayed that vivid, unforgettable moment.

"Ugh~ Beg you? Never… I absolutely… ugh…"

Her body yearned, her spirit craved, her instincts demanded. She needed…

She needed that wisdom. After tasting it, she realized her state. Despite her power, she didn't truly control it—it stemmed from her soul.

Her body couldn't command that soul.

It was like a pay-to-win game. A player at a desk spends for power, and the better the character performs, the more they spend, living through the game.

That was the soul-body relationship.

Samuel had bet his entire soul on his body, but it couldn't process it all.

His resources hadn't fully converted to power.

Yuriko, meanwhile, hadn't fully committed her soul.
