Draven's Point Of View
As the small procession disappeared down the concrete hallway, the heavy iron door clicked softly into place behind them, sealing off the sound of their footsteps. The silence that followed felt heavier than it should have.
A slow, amused chuckle echoed from the center of the warehouse.
"Well, well, well," Lucian said, stepping out from where he'd been leaning against the bloody table. He pulled down his nose mask, revealing a thoroughly wicked, mocking smirk that spread across his lips as he studied me. "Look at that. See who's finally growing a heart after all these years. I was almost convinced you'd order a cleaning crew for the floorboards right then and there."
