Chapter 67 - Chapter 65: The Invitation of the Century

The Watson household had officially settled into a chaotic rhythm. It was becoming hilariously obvious to everyone in Section E that nature had a sense of humor. Keira was, for all intents and purposes, a miniature version of Keifer. She possessed a terrifyingly sharp gaze, a low tolerance for incompetence, and a bossy streak that made even Felix think twice before handling her toy rotation. If her bottle was two degrees too cold, she would stare at her father with such cold, unimpressed intensity that Keifer would immediately call the kitchen to demand an explanation.

Jayden, on the other hand, was the absolute spitting image of Jay-jay. He was dramatic, expressive, and prone to "theatrical outbursts" whenever he wanted attention. If he wasn't the center of the room, he would let out a heart-wrenching, Oscar-worthy sob until someone picked him up and serenaded him.

"It's like looking into a mirror for both of us," Jay-jay laughed one afternoon, watching Keifer try to negotiate a nap schedule with a very stern, unmoving Keira.

The quiet peace of the morning was interrupted by the delivery of a heavy, embossed gold envelope. Keifer picked it up, his brow furrowing as he broke the seal. Jay-jay leaned over his shoulder, her expression shifting from curiosity to pure annoyance the moment she saw the names.

It was an invitation to a wedding. Kuya Angelo and Honey.

Keifer's jaw dropped, his hand tightening around the heavy card until the edges crinkled. "Honey? My secretary? Getting married to... him?"

Jay-jay recoiled as if she'd been burned, her eyes narrowing with instant, instinctive dislike. "Kuya Angelo? They've been hiding this? That man wouldn't lift a finger to help you if you were drowning in corporate debt, and yet he has the nerve to steal your head secretary right from under your nose?"

"He never helped with anything," Keifer spat, his voice dropping to a dangerous, low rumble. "He spent years sabotaging my projects and undermining my authority whenever he could. He would never offer a shred of assistance to me, and now he thinks he can waltz into my life as a brother-in-law?"

"And Honey!" Jay-jay groaned, her distaste for the woman evident. "She's the most tedious, uptight person in your entire firm. Honestly, they deserve each other—they're both snakes."

The news spread through the private group chat like a wildfire of disbelief.

"DID YOU SEE THE CARD?" Ci-N's voice echoed through the speakerphone when Keifer reluctantly called a meeting. "KUYA ANGELO AND HONEY?! I'm buying a tuxedo just to see the fireworks. This is going to be a disaster, right?"

"I am officially questioning my entire professional life," Keifer said, his voice cold and sharp. "I had no idea. Honey knows all the company secrets, and now she's joining forces with the one man who has tried to ruin me for a decade? This isn't a wedding; it's a strategic betrayal."

"It's a nightmare," Josh chimed in, sounding horrified. "The seating chart alone is going to cause a bloodbath. Keifer and Angelo can't even stand in the same room without throwing insults, and Jay literally can't stand the sight of Honey."

Jay-jay looked at the invitation again, a sharp, competitive glint in her eyes. "Keifer, we are going to this wedding. And we are going to bring the twins. Not because we want to celebrate them, but because I refuse to let them think they can walk all over us. I want to see if Kuya Angelo has the audacity to act like this was ever a friendly arrangement."

Keifer looked at his wife, then down at Keira—who was currently looking at the wedding invitation with a very critical, bossy squint—and Jayden, who was already letting out a dramatic, annoyed yawn.

"Fine," Keifer sighed, his expression hardening into a mask of pure, cold resolve. "But if Angelo tries to play the 'brother' card, I will make sure this wedding is the most expensive, miserable mistake of his life."

The Watson household had survived business deals and twin parenthood, but the upcoming nuptials were shaping up to be the first war of the Watson Legacy.
