Chapter 45 - | Hamotzi

Andrew, Jaime, John, and I are now seated as well. Yeshua was already sitting beside James, beside Yeshua was John, beside John was Jaime, beside Jaime was me, and beside me was Andrew, who is beside Matthew as well. "How would You like to start Your teaching, Teacher?" Asked Matthew as all of us are now sitting around a table inside the cafe. Well, all of us—except for Simon. Yeshua looked at me then raised both His eyebrows. I tightened my lips then slowly looked away from Him. "Maybe, maybe next time, Matthew. Next time we'll talk about how I would like to start my teachings." Said Yeshua to Matthew, making me look at them both.

"Yes. Understood, Teacher," replied Matthew as he nodded. "When will You begin, Teacher?" Asked Thomas, making all of us look at Yeshua, waiting for His reply. "Soon," replied Yeshua with a smile, then Alfeo placed a plate with 2 pieces of pancakes in front of Him. Yeshua quickly looked down at the plate then looked at Alfeo and smiled widely, "Thank you so much, Alfeo," thanked Yeshua then looked back at His pancakes.

Thomas then slowly looked at us then asked, "He really likes pancakes?" I looked at Thomas and nodded while my eyes were closed. Then Alfeo also placed a plate with 2 pancakes in front of me as well. "Thank you, Uncle," I thanked him as I looked at him with a smile. "Let me help you, sir," said Matthew to his father, Alfeo, as he stood up. "No need, no need. I was there when He taught you all. I don't want you to miss anything that He will teach. This town needs a Teacher like Him. Be His assistant instead of mine, Son," said Alfeo to Matthew.

"Thank you, sir," said Matthew then he sat again. Alfeo came near him then placed his hand on Matthew's shoulder, "Whenever you're with them, call me Dad," said Alfeo to Matthew then he removed his hand on his son's shoulder and went back to the 'staff only' room. "Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who brings forth bread from the earth." Said Yeshua then He began to eat His pancake.

All of us looked at each other and stayed quiet, then looked back at Yeshua. When He was about to take another bite from His pancake, Yeshua met our stares and stopped abruptly. "What's the matter?" Asked Yeshua as He put down the fork with a slice of the pancake. None of us responded but just continued to look at Yeshua. "It's called Hamotzi. It is the prayer before meals back in the day," said Yeshua as He looked at each one of us.
