Author's Note
Hello everyone.
So, writing the points and creating the rankings was very hectic. It took me nearly half an hour to make the list, and there still might be some mistakes or inconsistencies in it. If you find any, then sorry in advance.
Another thing is that when I first started making the rankings, I originally planned to place the characters like this: Kimimaro first, then Sasuke, then Arata, and so on. However, after thinking about it for a while, I realized that most of the Tengoku members are only around 10–11 years old. The same applies to Naruto, Gaara, Arata, Natsuki, and several other well-known characters.
On the other hand, the competition allows participants up to the age of 15. It wouldn't make much sense if every 14- or 15-year-old Uchiha or Mizumori ninja ended up below these younger characters. By that age, many of the talented Uchiha and pre-established Mizumori ninjas should already be at least Jonin-level or close to it. So I decided to include more original characters and older participants in the rankings to make the results feel more realistic and balanced.
Another thing I noticed is that a lot of participants passed the first round. Some readers might think that too many people qualified, but this round was never intended to heavily reduce the number of contestants. Its purpose was mainly to test the fundamentals: chakra control, adaptability, endurance, and basic combat ability.
As we saw in Naruto, Academy graduates couldn't even properly climb trees or walk on water until Kakashi or Jonin Teacher taught them. Compared to them, everyone participating in the Hundred Clan War is already considered a talented ninja. Simply being able to maintain control on water under increasing gravity is enough to prove that they possess a certain level of skill.
That said, don't worry. More than 95% of the remaining participants will likely be eliminated in the upcoming rounds. The real filtering process starts from here.
