Chapter 174 - Chapter 172: Flaws, Orders, HYDRA (Part 4)

After a full round of testing, the Muscle Enhancement Armor only had some minor scratches on its paint.

Even Green Bull, the tester, only sweated slightly and was still grinning from ear to ear, clearly enjoying himself.

General Ross, his eyes shining, wished he could pull Green Bull out of the Muscle Enhancement Armor and try it himself.

However, General Ross also knew that since it was called 'Muscle Enhancement,' its actual effect must be related to the user's physical fitness. His old bones might not be able to withstand such abuse.

He could only happily reach out and caress the armor.

This made Green Bull's scalp tingle, but under Luca's watchful eye, he couldn't say much directly. He could only brace himself and let the other party touch him.

Seeing that Green Bull really couldn't hold on any longer, Luca smiled and stepped forward to help him out, saying,

"How is it, General Ross? Are you satisfied with this Muscle Enhancement Armor?"

Hearing Luca's words, General Ross reluctantly withdrew his hand from caressing Green Bull.

At this moment, the initial perfunctoriness and carelessness on his face had long disappeared, replaced by a joyful expression as he commented,

"Strength! Speed! Defense! Flexibility! This is a perfect War Machine! But..."

At this point, General Ross changed the subject, his tone becoming a bit more serious.

"...I don't believe there's a truly perfect product, Mr. Orange. Tell me about the flaws of this Muscle Enhancement Armor!"

Having witnessed the power of the Muscle Enhancement Armor, General Ross initially speculated whether this combat armor, which stimulated muscles through electric shocks, would cause some damage to the user's body.

Although judging by the condition of Green Bull, the tester, such damage was definitely within his acceptable range, bringing it up now could also slightly lower the price of this order.

After all, the U.S. Military is famously concerned about the physical health of its soldiers. If his soldiers developed any physical problems because of this, the subsequent pensions and recuperation would also be a considerable expense.

However, upon hearing him, Luca pretended to look at General Ross with a puzzled expression, tilted his head, thought for a while, and then gave his answer.

"If I had to name a flaw~"

"Would soldiers being hungrier after using the Muscle Enhancement Armor count?"

After speaking, Luca just looked at General Ross with a smile.

General Ross was stunned for a moment, then immediately burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, of course that counts as a flaw! Those young men in the logistics mess hall will probably complain to me about this!"

As soon as General Ross said this, the other Military representatives immediately joined in the laughter.

However, Luca actually knew that the Muscle Enhancement Armor certainly had flaws.

Although the extensive use of business-grade e-carbon alloy in the external armor made this armor look very sturdy and durable.

Its internal precision electrical stimulation components, however, led to a very high scrap rate for the armor in actual combat.

While it wouldn't be completely destroyed after ten or so battles, Luca himself estimated that this thing would basically need a 'major overhaul' once a year.

If the Military placed an order later, Luca planned to haggle with them a bit on the subsequent maintenance clauses.

Additionally, since this thing relied on wearing it to stimulate muscles and enhance physique.

Compared to the'Super Soldier Enhancement' which was a one-shot injection, the armor-type 'Muscle Enhancement Armor' could be taken off and worn by others, making it more versatile.

In fact, each 'Muscle Enhancement Armor' itself needed to have its stimulation program set according to the user's muscle distribution.

Although soldiers of similar build could reluctantly use them interchangeably, the effect would definitely be greatly reduced.

If the Military truly wanted to build 'Enhanced Armor Soldiers' in the direction of Super Soldiers, then they would ultimately have to go the customized route.

As for the price of customization~~

Finally, and most importantly.

Perhaps not a flaw, but even more fatal.

It's important to know that the original Tuxedo came with muscle stimulation, allowing ordinary people who weren't skilled in martial arts to instantly master combat techniques, and even precise work like firearm assembly.

Essentially, this relied on stimulating muscles to control the user's behavior.

Luca could actually replicate this technology now, but he did not demonstrate this capability in the Muscle Enhancement Armor.

He wouldn't even mention this aspect to others in the future.

If, well~ just if.

One day in the future, if the Military wanted to use these Enhanced Armor Soldiers to deal with Luca, then Luca would show them what 'being beyond one's control' meant.

Of course, these are all future considerations.

At least for now, both sides were quite satisfied with this cooperation.

The subsequent matters of order quantity, time, and even price, which would require heated arguments, would not need Luca and General Ross, as superiors, to personally intervene. A professional team would naturally handle these.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Luca directly gave the sample tested today to General Ross as a Meeting Gift.

Then came the old routine of a banquet to foster relationships. Luca also took this opportunity to meet many people from Commissioner Smith's team, and he would inevitably have to deal with them in future collaborations.

However, it wasn't until after the dinner, on his way back, that Luca suddenly remembered.

He had only given away the armor, but the internal programming was for someone with Green Bull's muscle mass, and no adjustments had been made to the Muscle Enhancement Armor for General Ross.

'Hmm, never mind. That old man probably just wants to use the Muscle Enhancement Armor as a display piece when he takes it back. With his old bones, he probably wouldn't want to actually wear it out and run a few laps, right?'

On Tony Stark's private jet.

Yep, it was Tony's plane again.

A drowsy Luca was impatiently listening to the 'old man' beside him prattling on.

"Those Military guys are no good. If you ask me, you didn't need to cooperate with them at all. What's so good about being an arms dealer? Look at your Uncle Tony, I don't do that anymore, and aren't I still the richest man in the World?"

Luca, who was slumped in the sofa, feeling lazy but unable to fall asleep because Tony kept chattering, rolled his eyes directly and complained weakly,

"Do you think everyone is Stark Industries? Those bastards have been eyeing my Husky Armor. Instead of waiting for them to hold a hearing for me one day, I might as well just take out some small things to shut them up first."

"Enough about that. Why are you coming back to New York with me this time?"

"Hey! Kid, this is my plane. If anyone's following, it's you following me."

Although he said that, Stark just said it casually, then continued to explain somewhat helplessly,

"The old popsicle contacted me this time, saying he had some things about HYDRA."

"Seriously, that's old news from World War II. Where is there still a HYDRA now!"
