Azura's POV
I stood frozen beside the vanity table, my eyes completely wide as I stared down at Genevieve.
"Wait a single minute," I breathed out, the shock making my voice sound incredibly hollow in the quiet room.
"Are you seriously trying to tell me that the girl outside is not Isadora?"
Genevieve didn't answer with words right away.
She simply shook her head from side to side in a slow, incredibly heavy movement, her eyes fixed on her own reflection as if the truth itself was too exhausting to look at directly.
"Then why on earth have you not done a single thing about it?" I asked, my voice rising much louder as a sudden wave of panic hit my chest.
"Why are you just sitting here so calmly? Why are you not actively trying to stop her from walking around our pack grounds?"
Genevieve turned her head slowly, her expression perfectly calm and collected despite the terror bubbling in my stomach.
