By the time Severine had dressed in warm clothes after freshening up, Alina was finally up.
"What time is it?" she mumbled, her voice thick and drowsy from sleep. She tried to force her eyes open, yet her lashes stubbornly refused to obey her commands.
Not that it was anything new. Every night she spent playing games, it would result in lethargy.
"It's seven in the morning," Severine replied, adjusting her sleeves.
"If you want to keep sleeping, go ahead. We don't need to be up until nine anyway."
The teachers had asked the entire group to be ready by nine o'clock sharp so they could head out to explore the valley and document the regional topography.
According to the schedule, the late afternoon and evening would be spent on a mandatory mountain hike through the snowfields.
"Ah? Then why the hell are they screaming so loud?" Alina whined, squeezing her eyes shut tightly as if that could magically drive the distant noises away.
