Ezra finally returned to the place where Lucy had been waiting for him.
The young maid stood patiently beside the Noble Steam Carriage with both hands folded neatly in front of her apron. Behind her, the elegant carriage remained parked quietly beneath the evening sky, its polished metal reflecting the fading orange light of the setting sun. Wisps of steam occasionally escaped from the engine vents, showing that the driver had kept the engine warm while waiting for his master's return.
The academy grounds had already begun to empty.
