Lately, Felix had been acting strangely. He followed Hiro around the set like a lost puppy, sticking close to him whenever he had the chance.
The change in his behaviour left Hiro increasingly uncomfortable. Felix had always hated clingy people, yet now he was the one doing the clinging.
So, after days of putting up with it, Hiro finally decided to confront him. He could barely find a moment alone with Izack anymore to make sure the alpha kept his mouth shut about his son.
"We need to talk," Hiro said at last, breaking the heavy silence that lingered in the room.
Felix raised an eyebrow from where he lay beside him, completely naked.
"About what?"
"You've been acting—"
"Oh, by the way, my rut is coming soon."
Felix cut him off before he could finish.
Hiro's breath caught in his throat.
His rut.
That meant Felix would soon be sleeping with someone else—an omega.
Knowing something and hearing it spoken aloud were two entirely different things.
