Whis was in a hurry, arriving and departing in the blink of an eye.
It seemed he couldn't leave the side of the God of Destruction for too long, as he rushed back immediately after finishing his investigation.
Qin Yan had intended to invite Whis to stay for lunch, but he hadn't expected the Angel to depart so quickly. It was a pity, but he suppose it would have to wait until next time.
Qin Yan watched the rolling clouds for a moment before flying down to the base of the ancient tree. On the ground, only Melos, Gine, and two other female Saiyans were busy with their tasks.
As for Benas and Liya's father, they had set off for the human world earlier that morning to procure living supplies, such as tools for building houses and daily necessities. Since they were going to make purchases, they needed money.
Qin Yan personally had none, but he had already sent Liya to guide their fathers to the capital of the Radiance Empire to find Long Weiwei.
A small matter like this was easily handled with Long Weiwei's help. Given her current prestige on the continent and her status among the empire's high-ranking leaders, such a request would take no more than a few words.
Meanwhile, Tora and the rest of Bardock's teammates had headed into the forest to prepare timber for construction. Everyone was working with full enthusiasm, beginning the process of building their new homes.
Once the construction was finished, Qin Yan would start preparing for his journey to Earth. He reached out with his senses toward the vast starry sky, tracking Goku's movements.
He discovered that the Ki he had left on Goku was still moving at high speed, which meant Goku was still navigating the cosmos and had not yet reached Earth.
Because of this, Qin Yan was in no rush. He already knew Earth's spatial coordinates; whenever he wished to go, a single use of Instant Transmission would get him there in a heartbeat.
For now, it was better to wait until their parents had settled down. Life had to be taken one step at a time, and matters dealt with one by one; there was no sense in rushing.
"Hmm?"
Suddenly, Qin Yan looked up at the sky. Beneath the azure expanse, he saw two dark silhouettes rushing toward them. Judging by their Ki, he knew it was Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei.
"Hey! Qin Yan!"
Luo Xuanyi's melodic voice carried from a distance as she waved her hand toward him repeatedly.
Whoosh!
The two figures landed gracefully.
"Qin Yan, you're back! When did you return? You didn't even tell us—that's not very nice. Where's Liya?"
"Qin Yan!"
As soon as they landed, Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei were overjoyed to see him. They immediately bombarded him with a flurry of questions, their eyes filled with a hint of reproach. They were clearly a bit miffed that he hadn't informed them of his return.
Of course, they were only teasing; having known him for so long, they understood his personality perfectly. Qin Yan was a loner who didn't particularly enjoy being the center of attention. In his eyes, there was nothing but cultivation.
"Haha! I just got back last night. Everything was so urgent that I didn't have time to let you know," Qin Yan replied with an embarrassed smile, not offering much more of an explanation. "As for Liya, I sent her to the capital with Long Weiwei to take care of some business."
"Oh, I see. Fair enough."
"But why did you ask Liya to find Weiwei when you could have asked us? We could have helped too," Luo Xuanyi said, her heart instantly softening. She then asked curiously what Liya was doing, truly wanting to be of use.
"It's nothing major. I just asked her to get Long Weiwei's help with procuring some supplies. The capital has a better selection, so I had Liya go directly there," Qin Yan explained with a faint smile.
"I see!" Luo Xuanyi nodded, looking enlightened.
"Karos, who are these two girls?" Melos and the others walked over, eyeing Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei as they spoke to Qin Yan.
"Oh! Let me introduce you. These two are friends I met here, Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei," Qin Yan remembered his manners and quickly introduced the girls to his mother, pointing to each in turn. Then, he turned to the girls and introduced Melos and the other Saiyan women.
"What? Hello! It is an honor to meet you, Ma'am! I am Luo Xuanyi, I'm very happy to meet you."
"Hello, Auntie, I am Beidandan."
Hearing Qin Yan's introduction, the two girls were utterly stunned. Their expressions were full of shock as they covered their mouths in amazement. They had never imagined that Qin Yan's trip back home would result in him bringing his parents with him.
They hurriedly stepped forward, greeting them with polite smiles. The sudden arrival of Qin Yan's parents had left the girls a bit flustered, and they felt a wave of nervousness as they spoke.
"Hello to you both!" Melos and the other Saiyan women responded with warm smiles.
Once the greetings were over and everyone was acquainted, Melos and the others immediately pulled Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei aside for a chat, leaving Qin Yan standing there alone.
They began to question the girls vividly about Qin Yan's life on Planet Prodalafak over the past few years. Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei began to describe his exploits with great detail, drawing constant gasps of surprise from the Saiyan women.
Seeing this, Qin Yan shook his head helplessly and stopped paying them any mind. With a flicker of movement, he leaped into the forest, intending to hunt for some food for lunch.
A short while later, Qin Yan returned from the jungle with a massive wild boar. It was roughly ten zhang tall, more than enough to feed everyone.
By the time he made it back to the camp, Liya and the fathers had returned, as had Tora and his team. They had all been introduced to Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei. Meeting again, Liya and the two girls were incredibly excited, chatting away as they played together.
Qin Yan handed the prey over to the men to handle the initial butchering. Once that was done, the boar was given to Melos and Gine to marinate and grill. The two of them were quite skilled in this area; after all, back on Planet Vegeta, they had specifically handled logistics and support work.
After roasting for a long time, the wild boar was finally done. The aroma of the grilled meat wafted through the air, making everyone's mouth water. The meat was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a beautiful golden brown and sizzling with juices a sight that instantly whetted the appetite.
Under the distribution of Melos and Gine, the group began to feast. The Saiyans ate with a voracious hunger, completely disregarding their image as they wolfed down the food. In contrast, Luo Xuanyi and Xiao Bei were much more reserved and timid in their eating.
