Chapter 333 - Sky Form Shaymin

"Gracidea Flowers!!!"

"Where... where did you find these?"

Shaymin's eyes widened to the size of saucers, its gaze utterly transfixed by the pink blossoms appearing in Feng Che's hand. The legendary "Flower of Gratitude" emitted a fragrance that seemed to pull at Shaymin's very soul.

With a sudden burst of energy, Shaymin scrambled out of Yuan Xiong's arms and hit the ground running. It scurried up Feng Che's trouser leg and perched itself on his shoulder, nuzzling the petals with a blissful, tearful smile.

"I discovered a hidden field of them on a remote, primordial island," Feng Che explained, stroking the mythical Pokémon's back. "I've successfully transplanted the entire field—along with the Pokémon that guard them—to my nursery's backyard. There is a vast sea of Gracidea waiting for you there, Shaymin."

Shaymin was ecstatic, spinning in circles on Feng Che's shoulder. "Really? Shaymin wants to nap in a whole field of them! It's been so long since I smelled that scent... it's the happiest thing in the world! If I could just have a glass of juice pressed from Gracidea stems, life would be perfect!"

The little Pokémon began to drool at the thought. Feng Che felt a pang of sympathy; Shaymin was thin, its ribs visible beneath its grassy fur. It had clearly exhausted itself protecting the Gardenia family.

"I also prepared this," Feng Che said, producing a vial of specialized energy draught distilled from the flowers.

Shaymin snatched the bottle and began to sip. Almost instantly, a brilliant white light erupted from its body. Its form began to stretch and change.

The Land Form's hedgehog-like appearance shifted. Its legs grew longer and more agile, resembling a small, elegant canine. The pink flowers on its head migrated to its ears, becoming wing-like appendages, and a red, scarf-like tuft of fur blossomed around its neck.

"I feel... powerful again!" Sky Form Shaymin cried out, its voice full of youthful vigor.

"Thank the heavens," Yuan Xiong wept, watching the guardian's transformation. "The Gardenia family finally has its trump card back."

The Fragmented Map

Yuan Xiong led Feng Che into a high-security study, followed closely by the hovering Sky Form Shaymin.

"Feng Che... may I call you that? Please, tell me truly—where is my sister, Yuan Jia?" Xiong asked with desperate hope.

"I don't know," Feng Che replied honestly. "I grew up in an orphanage in Kanto. My memories before the age of three are a total fog."

Yuan Xiong's shoulders slumped, but he reached into a storage ring and pulled out an ancient wooden necklace with a star-shaped pendant. Inside the pendant was a brittle, yellowed piece of parchment.

"This is half of the map to the Green Leaf Orb's hiding place," Xiong explained. "My sister and I each held a half to ensure the family's secret remained safe during the rebellion. Without both halves, the Orb is lost to the vastness of Sinnoh."

"I don't recognize the necklace," Feng Che said after a moment of thought. "But I don't need the other half to find it. I can use technology to fill in the gaps."

He pulled a high-end laptop from his spatial bracelet. "If the Orb is within one kilometer of us, can you sense it, Shaymin?"

"Absolutely!" the Sky Form Pokémon chirped proudly. "As a Grass-type Mythical, the resonance of the Orb is like a beacon to me."

"Then let's work," Feng Che said, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "Uncle, give me the map. I'm going to scan it and run a comparative analysis against the last twenty years of Sinnoh's topographical shifts."

Xiong handed it over, watching in awe as Feng Che "hacked" into the League's satellite database to pull geological records. "The land changes, Uncle. Rivers shift, mountains erode. Reading an old map literally is why you failed."

As the computer processed the data, Feng Che turned to Yuan Xiong with an intensity that reminded the older man of his own father, the legendary Yuan Ba.

"While the system works, tell me everything. Why did the Gardenia family fall this far? What is the exact nature of the crisis we are facing? We're going to solve this, one problem at a time."

Yuan Xiong sighed, leaning back as the weight of history settled on him. "It began with my father, Yuan Ba. He was the strongest trainer in Sinnoh until he vanished exploring a Ultra Wormhole in Alola. I was too young to lead, and the side branches grew greedy..."
