Chapter 120 - chapter 118

Iron Man vs. Iron Monger

The sky above Stark Industries burned with fire and metal.

Iron Man slammed into the upper floors, crashing through glass and steel.

Obadiah Stane—encased in the Iron Monger armor—laughed through the speakers.

"You think you're the only one who can build something big, Tony?"

They clashed.

Metal screamed.

Shockwaves rippled.

Tony was faster.

Smarter.

But Iron Monger was heavier. Stronger.

The fight tore through the building, alarms screaming as employees fled.

Pepper watched in horror from below.

A Presence Descends

Then—

The air changed.

Not violently.

Not loudly.

Just heavier.

Every electronic system flickered for half a second.

Satellites adjusted their orbits without command.

Mystics felt it first.

Scientists felt it next.

Gods felt it instantly.

Something ancient had turned its gaze—

Toward Earth.

The Phoenix Mask

Obadiah felt it too.

His armor stuttered.

"What—?" he muttered.

Then—

A figure appeared on the rooftop.

No explosion.

No portal.

Just there.

Alex stood calmly, wearing a phoenix mask—black and gold, ancient and regal, eyes glowing like restrained suns.

No wings.

No flames.

Yet Obadiah's heart skipped in terror.

"Who the hell are you?" Obadiah demanded.

Alex didn't answer.

He raised one hand.

The Iron Monger armor froze.

Not magnetized.

Not hacked.

Commanded.

"You made three mistakes," Alex said, his voice echoing unnaturally.

"First—you threatened what I protect."

"Second—you thought power makes you untouchable."

"And third…"

Alex stepped closer.

"You did all of it on Earth."

Obadiah screamed as the armor crushed inward—not killing him, not yet—but stripping everything away.

The suit fell apart.

Obadiah collapsed.

Crying.

Begging.

Alex knelt beside him.

"You will be remembered," Alex said softly,

"as the man who made the universe feel sorry for him."

A pulse of phoenix authority passed through Obadiah.

Not death.

Something worse.

Fear.

The kind that never leaves.

When Obadiah looked up again—

Alex was gone.

Iron Man Wins

Tony landed moments later.

Iron Monger was destroyed.

Obadiah was broken.

The fight was over.

Tony didn't ask questions.

Some answers felt… too big.

The World Feels It

Across the universe—

Everything went silent.

Pantheons stopped speaking.

Empires halted fleets mid-flight.

Eternity opened its eyes.

The Living Tribunal shifted its gaze.

Even TOAA acknowledged it.

The Phoenix Monarch had moved.

On Earth.

And the realization spread instantly:

"The idiot who angered him… is on Earth."

Fear followed.

Then pity.

Kree commanders shook their heads.

Skrull elders whispered prayers.

Cosmic entities turned away.

No one wanted to watch what came next.

Because when the Phoenix Monarch acted—

There was no revenge.

Only finality.

Quiet Aftermath

In Ashborn Mansion—

Veronica felt it.

A warmth.

A certainty.

"He's done," she whispered.

Somewhere far above—

The universe exhaled.

And hoped—

The Phoenix Monarch would return to silence.
