Chapter 113 - BLACK KUNPENG

He was about to turn and leave when a voice called out to him it was familiar as he heard it before but not do familiar as he was not close to it it was black kunpeng it said

" Kid , where gold kunpeng"

He came out of Wang fei and stood in front of Zhou yu he asked as he wanted to know where Jin had gone as he could no longer feel his aura from zhou yu, he did not know how to reply to this ancient beast that was old as time he replied in the best way he knew he could

" He's asleep"

Black kunpeng expression turn to frown it felt like zhou yu was lying to it why would gold kunpeng be sleeping when it hit him the only reason why he would be asleep is because his cultivation increased he did not want this he said

" No,no,no"

But the juniors were watching if he kept panicking he was only humiliating himself he calmed himself and told Zhou yu to leave before he left he looked at the young man one more time they both left

Zhou Yu and Li Wangyu walked through the imperial city in silence. The previous encounter had left a complicated feeling in Zhou Yu's heart. He had wanted to meet his son.He had waited for this moment. But when he heard those words…

"Master…"

The voice of his own son calling Wang Fei that title continued to echo in his mind.Zhou Yu clenched his fist.Li Wangyu looked at him.

"I understand why you are angry."

Zhou Yu glanced at him.

"You do?"

Li Wangyu sighed.

"You wanted to be the one standing beside him. You wanted him to know who his father was."

Zhou Yu's expression became complicated.

"I missed too much."

His voice was low.

"I wasn't there when he grew up. I wasn't there when he learned his first technique. I wasn't there when he needed someone."

A trace of anger appeared in his eyes.

"And now, when I finally see him again, he calls someone else master."

Li Wangyu remained silent. He knew those words came from pain. Not hatred.Soon, they arrived at the Blood Heaven Sect Palace. The moment Zhou Yu stepped inside, a familiar voice sounded.

"Zhou Yu."

He turned around. His senior brother walked over, but his eyes immediately landed on Li Wangyu. The atmosphere changed.

"You…"

His expression became cold. the tension at the entrance of the Blood Heaven Sect Palace thickened instantly.Xiao Fan's expression darkened the moment he saw Li Wangyu. Not hatred from the past. Not some unresolved history. But something far more direct.

Defeat.

He took a step forward.

"You still have the face to come here?"

His voice was sharp, controlled—but beneath it was lingering unwillingness.Li Wangyu looked at him and sighed lightly.

"You still remember that match?"

That single sentence made Xiao Fan's jaw tighten. The competition. The one where he had been completely outmatched. Not by tricks. Not by luck. But pure suppressionXiao Fan's aura flared slightly.

"You only won because—"

"Enough."

A calm but firm voice cut through the space.

A woman stepped forward. The senior sister.

Her presence was steady, like still water under pressure. She stood between Xiao Fan and Li Wangyu, her eyes sharp.

"This is the Blood Heaven Sect Palace."

Her gaze shifted slightly toward Xiao Fan.

"Do you want to turn it into a place for private grudges?"

"But sister—he—"

"I said enough."

Her tone did not rise, but it carried authority that made even Xiao Fan pause.Silence fell.

Li Wangyu exhaled softly, his usual relaxed expression returning.

"You've grown more impatient," he said casually.

Xiao Fan's eyes flashed. Before he could respond, Zhou Yu finally spoke from the side.

"Xiao Fan."

That single call made him turn.Zhou Yu's voice was calm.

"He is my guest."

A brief pause. The pressure in Xiao Fan's expression slowly receded, though unwillingly. The senior sister nodded slightly.

"That settles it."

She turned her gaze across both sides."No fights. No further words on this matter."

Only then did Xiao Fan step back, still clearly frustrated, but restrained.Li Wangyu chuckled lightly under his breath.

"Still the same temper."

Xiao Fan's eyes narrowed slightly, but he did not advance again. At that moment, a disciple rushed in from outside the palace.

"An invitation has arrived!"

Everyone turned.The disciple bowed quickly.

"It is from the Crown Prince. All participating geniuses are to gather for a wine banquet tonight."

The Crown Prince's invitation was located within one of the imperial inner halls, a vast pavilion built above flowing spirit water. Lanterns hovered in the air, casting golden reflections that rippled across the surface like burning stars.

By the time Zhou Yu and Li Wangyu arrived, most of the younger generation had already gathered his senior brother and sister stayed back as they did not want Xiao fan and li wangyu to fight.

Geniuses from different sects sat down, their auras clashing silently even without words. Some laughed too loudly, others observed too quietly. And in the center, elevated slightly above the rest, sat a young man in imperial robes.

The Crown Prince.

His gaze swept across the crowd with calm authority.

"Since everyone has arrived," he said, raising his cup, "tonight is not for killing intent. It is for wine."

A light chuckle spread through the hall. But not everyone was relaxed.Zhou Yu stepped in with Li Wangyu beside him.The moment they entered, several gazes shifted.

Some curious.

Some hostile.

Some amused.

From one corner, Wang Fei stood quietly. His expression was calm, but his eyes briefly flicked toward Zhou Yu before looking away. All participants were seated. No one stood. No one interrupted. This was a gathering built on silence as much as speech.

Zhou Yu sat within the Blood Heaven Sect's allocated platform.Li Wangyu sat beside him.Across the hall, Wang Yi and Wang Xuan observed quietly, their attention subtly fixed on Zhou Yu.

Wang Yi was the first to speak. Her voice was soft, almost casual.

"I've been thinking about something."

A few nearby geniuses slowly quieted.Wang Yi continued.

"On the Azure Dragon Expanse… isn't it standard that status disciples must possess high-grade talent?"

Wang Xuan gave a faint chuckle.

"That is the rule. Every major sect follows it."

Wang Yi nodded slightly.

"Then that is what confuses me."

Her gaze drifted toward Zhou Yu's direction.

"Could it be that the Blood Heaven Sect has declined to such an extent that even its own standards are no longer maintained?"

Silence spread subtly through the hall. Not from volume—But from implication.Wang Yi continued smoothly.

"Otherwise, how does someone with rumored basic-grade talent sit as a status disciple?"

She lifted her cup slightly towards zhou yu.

"No offense. I am simply curious."

Immediately conversation began to flow

" Is it true , does he not have the high grade talent , why was he made a status disciple ,he could have used his family's backings "

The comments of everyone kept getting louder li wangyu clenched his fist Zhou yu was about to stand and leave when a familiar voice spoke up to defend him

" And who was it that ran away from the basic grade talent was it you two "

It was yingyi she had woken and had come for the gathering when she entered the room everyone was stunned she was extremely pretty zhou yu,li wangyu and Wang fei were the only men in their right senses everyone had dropped to the level of a fool the crown Prince tea cup dropped and he could not tell

When Wang yi saw this she was annoyed when she entered the room everyone found her pretty but she was not given this same level of reverence she hit the table with spiritual energy bringing everyone back to their senses

Zhou yu laughed he could tell the reason Wang yi was annoyed he said

" Every woman is not made the same ,some will always be prettier than some "

Wang yi expression turn to frown she knew exactly what he meant he took his eyes off Wang yi back to Yingyi since the day he knew this woman till now she had always supported him and he had never done anything for her not even take her as his own so seeing her again he had many feelings but none he could confirm

At a point in time zhou yu became someone who rarely showed his emotions on his face no matter what you did he would smile slightly or laugh a bit but would never show his emotion on his face it was here and now things began to change and he himself did not know .
