Chapter 98 - EMPEROR SU TAIREN

The emperor stood at his window, overlooking the Imperial City of Ten Thousand Heavens the city stretched beneath him like a living map of order golden walls layered upon golden walls, floating districts suspended in disciplined tiers, and the vast Imperial Palace at the center, where the will of the empire condensed into a single point.

But his gaze was not on its present glory.

For a moment, it drifted past it back three hundred years into the past he remembered when he was not Emperor

He was only a mortal prince confined within a palace that did not allow cultivation.

Back then, the imperial court had strict rules. The royal bloodline was forbidden from stepping onto the path of the Dao without permission from the elders and the ancestral council. Power was meant to be controlled, distributed, and observed—not awakened freely.

Yet he had still cultivated in secret beneath candlelight and behind closed doors, when the entire palace believed he was resting or studying imperial law, he had circulated the forbidden breathing technique he discovered in an abandoned scripture hall.

He discovered he had the high grade talent, but his body unprepared, he endured every backlash in silence night after night, while the palace slept under layers of protection arrays, he refined spiritual energy stolen from the imperial formation itself carefully, dangerously, like a thief borrowing from fate.

No one noticed or perhaps they refused to notice.

Because no one believed the unqualified prince could ever rise until the day they finally discovered it he still remembered the moment clearly the elders had broken into his courtyard with anger and disbelief, formation seals already forming in the air to suppress him. The accusation was immediate—treason against imperial law, corruption of the royal bloodline, punishment to be decided by the ancestral tribunal.

But when their divine senses swept over him silence fell because it was already too late.

His cultivation had not just begun it had already crossed what they considered acceptable for a royal heir.

Early Heaven Realm.

In a palace where he was never meant to cultivate at all the shock had frozen even the most rigid elders. The formation they prepared collapsed halfway, unable to decide whether to suppress him or acknowledge what he had become and in that brief hesitation everything had already changed.

The emperor's eyes in the present dimmed slightly as the memory faded below him, the Imperial City of Ten Thousand Heavens continued to breathe under his rule—vast, ordered, unquestionable the same city that once tried to confine him the same world that once believed he could not rise now lay entirely beneath his gaze

Meanwhile back in the eastern continent the night was silent above the Celestial Heaven Sect suddenly, two figures descended from the sky like fallen stars.

Boom!

The ground shattered as the Third Elder and Fourth Elder crashed onto the mountain platform the disciples guarding the area were horrified.

"Elders!"

The two elders struggled to stand, but their bodies were covered in terrifying injuries their robes were burned black their skin was covered with deep scorch marks even their spiritual energy was unstable, as if the flames that wounded them still remained inside their bodies.

"Their wounds… are all burns?"

The disciples looked at each other in shock.

These were two elders of the Celestial Heaven Sect, cultivators who had faced countless battles. Yet they had returned looking as if they had been thrown into an endless sea of flames the news quickly reached the main hall the Sect Master sat on his throne when the two elders were brought before him.

The moment he saw their condition, his expression changed.

"Who did this?"

The Third Elder lowered his head.

"Sect Master…"

The Sect Master's gaze became colder.

"Speak."

The Fourth Elder clenched his fists.

"It was Zhou Yu."

The hall became completely silent.

"Zhou Yu?"

The Sect Master stood up the Third Elder nodded.

"We encountered him outside the sect's territory."

The Sect Master's eyes narrowed.

"Outside?"

"Yes."

The Fourth Elder spoke

"We intended to stop him and question him, but we underestimated him."

The Sect Master looked at their burned bodies.

"What happened?"

"He used flame tokens."

The hall went quiet.

"Flame tokens?"

The Third Elder nodded.

"Explosive flame treasures. He threw them at the critical moment when we had cornered him."

His expression became ugly.

"We thought they were ordinary explosive talismans, but he had hidden their power well. The flames erupted instantly and caught us off guard."

The Fourth Elder continued.

"The explosion gave him the chance to break away. The flames continued burning through our protective spiritual energy, leaving these injuries behind."

The Sect Master looked toward the distance.

"So Zhou Yu did not defeat you through direct combat…"

His eyes became sharp.

"He used his resources, his judgment, and his timing."

The elders lowered their heads they knew they had underestimated him the Sect Master sighed coldly.

"You pursued him, forced him to fight back, and now you return injured while he has already left."

The Fourth Elder spoke.

"After escaping, he did not remain nearby. He used a transfer array."

The Sect Master looked outside the hall.

" So even if we wanted to chase him…"

His voice became calm.

" We no longer know where he is."

Silence filled the hall he asked them to leave as he wanted to collect his thoughts the boy who he had thought was useless was now doing incredible things meanwhile in a secluded courtyard Wang fei was seen sitting cross legged in his quarters he seemed to be reaching for something when

Boom!!!

All of a sudden green aura erupted from his body it could be seen that he was a bit satisfied Blackbird came out and said

" So this is the green soul realm , try to nourish the soul let's see if it works "

He brought out lu yu soul and put it in a soul nourishing wood he began using his own soul force to nourish the wood and the soul within it but doing this would slow his practice a lot because he is sharing soul force but he could not care about only wanted to know that she would be ressurected

The soul let out a sigh and he was happy it could be seen that it was working.
