The moon had already risen high above the Fu residence by the time Han Fuji finally stepped through the front gate.
The courtyard was much quieter than before.
It was as though everyone was already inside and resting.
The moment Fu Li spotted him, she placed her hands on her hips dramatically.
"You're late."
Han Fuji raised an eyebrow.
"Late?"
Fu Li nodded seriously.
"Very late."
She pointed toward the dining area.
"We already finished dinner."
Han Fuji immediately looked heartbroken.
"What?"
His hand pressed dramatically against his chest.
"You people actually ate without me?"
Fu Li rolled her eyes.
"We waited."
"Then we ate."
Han Fuji looked toward Madam Fu who just stepped out of the house.
"Madame Fu, did you hear that? They're bullying me."
Madam Fu nearly laughed.
Instead, she shook her head helplessly.
"At your age, you still act like a child."
Han Fuji immediately looked offended.
"Madam Fu, I am a married man now."
"You should respect my dignity."
