His heart was beating with some trepidation as he said to himself, "If I hadn't sensed danger early on and run away that time, it wouldn't have been just the River of Time that was frozen. I would have been frozen too. Then he would have been able to capture me."
The danger he just sensed was even greater than what he sensed from the Dao Lords. He felt that it was absurd to sense that level of danger from an enemy that he only recently defeated, captured, and devoured.
But it had happened, and it had taught him a lesson. He had now learned not to try to mess with time near a Time Lord unless he has overwhelming strength.
"Anyway, this is not the end. We shall have another round, and I shall have my way with you."
As he spoke, he swam further upstream the River of Time. He went to a minute ago in time. This was just before he was allowed to enter Time Traveler's Cave Heaven.
