While Adarte had his problems to deal with the shield-using enemy.
Anisa was trying to understand what she should do to find an opening in the enemy woman in front of her.
"Now."
"What I can see is that she is using some sort of a black sickle."
"I am not sure if that is a weapon that is physical in form or a conjured object."
Anisa took a deep breath and then moved left, and the woman started chasing her.
"Okay."
"She prefers an aggressive approach instead of a defensive one."
Anisa thought, and then the first clash happened. The dagger of Anisa and the sickle of the enemy woman met in the middle; sparks flew all the way around, and then both jumped back four meters.
A second later, Anisa and Woman again blocked each other's attacks with their weapons without much of a problem.
One block, two encounters later, Anisa nodded, and then her eyes changed a little bit.
"She does not try to find an opening but instead tries to keep on attacking my weapons from different angles."
"Is she trying to fulfill a condition or is it just a stylish choice of battle?"
Anisa asked herself, trying to understand more and more as the time went on.
She knew that, if she wanted to use her "Revolver," she needed to get hit by that sickle at least one or two times.
Truthfully, that is why she sometimes did not like her own ability.
It is because, whenever she does not want to get hit, she does not have a chance to use her revolver at all, as it activates only when she gets hit and the enemy wants to kill her somehow.
"I am not sure..." Anisa dodged one more attack and then purposefully stopped for a second.
The stop was not that easy to see; she was able to dodge, but she still did not. She wanted to make it so that she wanted to escape but could not.
In a nun fight, making it clear that she wants to get hurt is not advisable.
It would mean that the NEN user is trying to fulfill some conditions, and it is never liked at all.
The woman with the sickle did not hesitate at all.
She swung at the opening Anisa opened, slashing her side.
Anisa backed down after her blood was dropped on the ground, and she felt that two bullets formed in the revolver.
"What a bitch."
"She did really want to kill me a lot, it seems," Anisa thought.
As she then was about to activate the revolver, something interesting happened.
Her eyes went blank for a moment, and she felt like she was feeling not that great all of a sudden.
"Poison..."
"Or some sort of a manipulator ability..." she thought and then did not hesitate as she pulled the trigger with all of her power, one and two.
The bullets shot out from the revolver, changed direction in midair, and then one of them hit the woman in the eye and the other one hit her in the neck.
The woman dropped on the ground.
While, at the same time, Anisa dropped on the ground.
She turned to look down at her injury and saw some weird plant matter like on it.
"What is this..."
"I still feel dizzy."
Anisa thought.
She knew that in the end, she was no longer able to fight.
Either she is somehow affected by the poison of the enemy or the ability is still in effect even after her death.
Not every nen ability needed the power-up from the nen-after-death phenomenon to stay active.
Some abilities are like bombs; one uses nen to put the effect on the enemy, and then even if they die, the nen itself in the ability is great enough to continue until it is finished.
"I hope it is some sort of nen effect that induces some sort of a weakness on the target after a slash..."
"If it is just a lethal poison, I am in a lot of trouble."
At the same time, Anisa understood that one of her biggest weaknesses was against poisons that were capable of directly affecting her body.
Even if she got hit by an enemy that carried killing intent and her ability was ready to use, if the enemy used poison when they hit her, she would not be able to pull the trigger on her revolver; nothing would happen to the enemy.
Or worse, they may use lethal poison, and even if she were able to kill the enemy, she would still die in the end.
"I need to think more about my ability in the future..." she said as the drowsiness and dizziness got heavier as the time passed, and then she closed her eyes.
Adarte noticed this and then said it.
"Gotoh, or Canary."
"Take Anisa out and hide her somewhere."
In a sense, this order does not need to be completed at all.
In the end, Gotoh and Canary were only hired to deal with some of the official members and mainly deal with quasi-members.
They can say that they do not want to do that.
But still.
Canary looked at Gotoh for a moment, and Gotoh nodded at her.
Canary then jumped to Anisa's side, looked at the dead woman's enemy, and then took Anisa to her shoulder and left the room area.
She then proceeded to find an empty hut close to the general fighting scene, entered, and then placed Anisa in bed for a moment and then covered her with a blanket to hide it.
If any enemy finds her and kills her, then that is her problem, and she can do nothing about that.
After Canary came back, she said to Adarte.
"She is safe for now and does not look to be poisoned, just passed out."
Adarte nodded, and his eyes showed gratitude.
While, at the same time, with a huge explosion, Reginald and the member with the green energy ball ability left the area due to battle.
It seemed like Reginald was in great shape.
"In the end."
"I still need to take care of this shield man..." Adarte said as he looked.
The man did not attack at all. It made everything harder to think for him.
