A smile touched Aaron Wyatt's lips as he spoke, but he added with a hint of regret, "It's hard to believe we're getting engaged the day after tomorrow. It's just a shame we have to wait until Ryan graduates in a month to have the wedding."
And once the wedding was over, they would leave this place for good.
He hadn't said that last part aloud, but they both knew what he was thinking.
Annabelle Linton tilted her head and smiled at him, saying lightly, "What's the rush?"
"Of course I'm in a rush," Aaron Wyatt said earnestly. "I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time."
Annabelle Linton paused for a moment, then smiled. Changing the subject, she continued from where they'd left off. "I think we've bought everything on our list. All that's left is..."
"The rings," Aaron Wyatt said, cutting her off with a smile. He pushed open the glass door to Tiffany and ushered her inside. "All that's left are the wedding and engagement rings," he added, still smiling.
