Just then, the door was suddenly thrown open. Aaron Wyatt appeared in the doorway, holding a large, beautiful bouquet of flowers. A handsome smile played on his lips. "Miss me, Anna—"
He was about to say the next word when he saw the scene inside. He couldn't get another sound out, just stood there, completely frozen.
The flowers fell to the floor.
Annabelle Linton saw the pain, disappointment, and sorrow in Aaron Wyatt's grief-filled eyes, and her heart ached fiercely.
'In the end, I've hurt him again!'
The color drained from her face, and her heart sank. She hurriedly pushed Leona Grant.
Leona Grant finally reacted. She looked at Aaron Wyatt standing in the doorway, and a dark glint flashed in her eyes.
With one hand, she seized both of Annabelle's wrists and pinned them above her head.
Before Annabelle could even cry out in protest, Leona Grant lowered her head and captured her lips in a kiss.
Annabelle's hands were pinned, leaving her completely unable to move.
