Seeing this, Feng Shan raised a hand to his lips and whistled.
A moment later, Cigar, who had just been letting off steam and frolicking in the darkness, seemed to hear his master's call. He immediately stopped his frantic running, wheeled around, and galloped back out of the shadows.
His powerful frame flickered in and out of view in the interplay of night and firelight. His four hooves beat a rhythmic, muffled tattoo on the mossy ground.
Soon, Cigar reached Feng Shan and nuzzled his head into his chest.
"Come, let me introduce you." Feng Shan patted Cigar's head and gestured to Nash. "This is Nash, my younger brother."
Cigar bobbed his head up and down and snorted, as if to say hello.
"Oh no, the horses are running away!" a member of the Bear Tribe suddenly shouted.
Animals are naturally spooked by fire.
This was especially true for a herd of Quarter Horses that hadn't yet had time to acclimate to their new surroundings.
