Thomas Sinclair came out of the kitchen, wearing her apron.
"Thomas…"
"I was in a bad mood yesterday. I shouldn't have lost my temper with you. Come on, get up and have breakfast."
His usual smile had returned. He walked over, leaned down, and gave her a kiss.
Noelle Young slowly sat up and said softly, "I didn't mean to hide it from you. My Constitution is special, so it's hard for me to have a healthy baby."
"I know. Let's get you something to eat first."
Thomas took her hand and led her to the dining room. He placed a soft cushion on her chair before helping her sit down.
Then he ladled a bowl of porridge from the pot and set it in front of her.
He picked up a boiled egg and started peeling it. "I made an appointment at the hospital. I'll take you for a prenatal checkup later."
"I've already examined myself."
"We should still have a professional take a look."
"Aren't you going to work?"
