Erold said in a mocking voice: "What is everyone's problem with darkness?"
Something unknown shouted: "Whaaat?! My show hasn't even started yet!"
Erold said: "And what comes after the darkness? Let me guess… a light is shone toward you, right?"
The unknown thing replied boisterously: "Damn you, man! What do you want?"
Erold wondered and said: "Me? What do you want from bringing me here?"
The unknown thing said: "No, no, no! Please, no! Why does fate always play with me?"
Erold looked on in amazement: "What is happening?"
The unknown thing screamed: "What is your name?"
Erold replied: "My name is Erold."
The unknown thing replied: "Not the alias; please do not answer."
In a moment of surprise, Erold replied: "Do you mean Arthur?"
The unknown thing fell to the ground, hitting it and crying, saying: "Whyyyy now? Whyyyyy? I have been waiting for you for a long time, you bastard! You locked me up after what happened in the Kingdom of Egypt. I loathe you!"
Erold replied with fear: "Are you that thing that was controlling my body back then?"
The thing replied to him: "You don't know what I am, you bastard! And you call me 'something'… I am your soul; my name is Arthur. The name Arthur was carved into your soul, so my name is Arthur. I cannot change my name like you, you bastard!"
Erold sat on the ground of the strange place and said: "Is this the Soul Separation? Hahaha, I didn't expect this!"
The soul replied: "And why are you laughing, you bastard? I loathe you! Do not laugh anymore."
Erold replied: "Tell me, Arthur, is this the spiritual world?"
Arthur went silent, as if he were sweating, then said in a faint voice: "I don't know. I have been here all my life, but I expect this isn't it. Our world hasn't been created yet."
Erold replied: "Our world? What business is it of yours?"
Arthur replied to him: "You idiot! I am your soul; don't make me regret something I have no hand in."
Erold asked Arthur with a tone of suspicion: "How did the Soul Separation happen? I didn't do anything, and I didn't meditate as the rumors say."
Arthur replied mockingly: "And why are you asking me? Do you think I know everything?"
Erold looked at him in surprise: "Man, you are 'my soul', and you don't know how Soul Separation happened?"
Arthur replied sarcastically in a hateful voice: "And you are 'human' and you don't know your real name, who do you think you are?"
Arthur sat before him on the ground and began speaking in a sad tone: "I woke up and found myself with you… in the kingdom's prison. The first person I saw was Erold. Of course, I am not talking about you, the owner of the alias. He was the first thing I saw… so I took him as a father. I was looking at him through your eyes every day. I was jealous of you… because you move, you speak, you live, but as for me… I was locked up. I saw paradise before me, but I couldn't enter it. Until that day came… the day Erold died before me."
"I knew that the Jinn were the ones who killed him… and in a moment of rage, I screamed inside you: 'I swear I will kill them all.' For a reason I don't understand… I possessed your body. I didn't want to kill humans for Erold's sake, but everyone who stood in my way… I killed them. And I didn't feel a shred of pity."
Then Arthur asked in a broken voice: "Didn't you wonder why you didn't cry much after the death of Erold and Elizabeth?"
Erold replied: "I haven't understood my feelings since childhood… I don't know."
Arthur said sadly: "Because I have been crying for them for eight years… since you were working in the barn. My grief for them never stopped, and my hatred for the Jinn increased day by day. Didn't you understand why you were still, without a soul, during all that time? Yes… because you didn't have a soul. It was I who was crying, who was screaming, who was hating."
"And when I regained my senses… I screamed inside you: 'You stupid bastard, what are you doing? You promised him! I promised him! I swore I would annihilate all the Jinn!'"
Erold replied calmly: "Your goal may be different from mine. I don't want to annihilate them… I want to reach their world and separate it from ours. Not revenge. I am heading to the North… to obtain the 'Eye of Mystery'. That tool that allows you to see the other world… because humanity is covered by a membrane that prevents it from seeing beyond reality."
Arthur asked him passionately: "And do you know why I hate you? I have hated you for long years, and I found nothing but pain and loneliness. I know our paths are different, but we… are bound in one body. Because of this, I will make a deal with you: Can you grant me your body?"
Erold replied firmly: "Certainly… NO! Do you think I'm crazy? You killed many knights in gruesome ways until you were called the demon 'Arthur'!"
Arthur's face turned to disappointment: "As I expected…"
Then he continued coldly: "I will find another way… now, get out of here."
But Erold stepped toward him, with a tender expression on his face: "You are still the child Arthur… you are still me. I didn't want you to go through all this. But fate… is what forced us."
Arthur's tears began to pour as he whispered: "No… no, not from you… why are my eyes tearing? Have they not dried from crying yet?"
Erold pulled him to his chest and said: "There is no need for all this… we are one."
With a bright light that emanated from Arthur's body, Erold opened his eyes… to find himself beside Jasmin.
She said while staring at him with concern: "Did… did the stars do this to you?"
Erold replied: "No, rather… my soul."
Her eyes widened and she said: "Your soul?! Tell me what happened… or else, if you fall again, I won't help you!"
So he told her everything about "Arthur."
Jasmin listened in silence, her eyes filled with sadness… then she began to cry and said: "Did… did he cry his whole life for Erold?"
She wiped her tears and replaced the sadness with a light laugh: "Pffft… even your soul hates you, man! Who's next? Hahaha."
A small light emerged floating in the air, until it manifested in the form of a small body swimming above the ground, saying in a childish voice: "I like this girl!"
Erold was shocked and said in amazement: "How did you get out here?!"
Arthur replied while floating nonchalantly: "I don't know… I can come out now, I don't know why."
Jasmin looked at him with suspicion and said: "Have you finally gone mad?"
Erold replied while pointing to the soul: "No, you spiteful girl, this is Arthur… he is talking to me."
Jasmin wondered, as she could see nothing, and said: "Is he… outside your body?! How are you still alive? Go back, Arthur, before he dies!"
Arthur laughed freely and said: "She is amusing, man!"
Erold said to Jasmin: "He says you are funny, and he liked your talk."
Jasmin smiled and said kindly: "Thank you, Mr. Spirit… or Mr. Arthur."
Suddenly, Arthur's chest puffed out with pride and he said: "Hehehe, no one has called me 'Mr.' before! Well done, little one!"
Erold sighed with boredom as he looked at the sunset behind them and said: "Let's go then… to the village."
