Now it's translated. Damn Google's automatic translator — sometimes it saves you, and sometimes it screws you over.
Guys, first of all: I am not going to abandon this fanfic. How are you all? I hope you are doing well! I'm dropping by to make a few very important comments and announcements regarding the direction of our story.
First, let's talk about Chapter 1. One of the protagonist's wishes, if you remember correctly, was this:
"My third wish is to keep all my memories. Perfectly. Without forgetting a single detail of my past life, my forging knowledge, and what I know about this world. And I want to retain this for all my next lives until the day I decide to no longer retain these memories."
Well, I regretted the last part, and I'll explain why. When I started writing this fanfic, I planned to follow the character through reincarnations until around the year 320 A.C. But I don't want that anymore. The story will end with the character's current life.
To do this, I will modify this third wish and remove the part about keeping memories in future lives. Now, the official wish is this:
"My third wish is to preserve all my memories. Perfectly. Without forgetting a single detail of my past life, my forging knowledge, and what I know about this world."
Little has changed in the present, except that when he dies, he won't remember anything in his next reincarnation and, consequently, will just be a normal being. I'm doing this because I've already made so many modifications to the original work that, in the end, it doesn't make sense to take the timeline so far. I've already made many plans, so the story will end around the year 200 A.C., and nothing beyond that.
For this reason, I am also going to change the name of the fanfic. It might seem like I'm doing something sudden, and it won't even change anything for those who support me on Patreon, but those who read on Web Novel will notice a slight difference in the title, which makes much more sense with the current focus.
The old title, Game of Thrones - Beyond the Wall, will cease to exist. From now on, the work will be called: House of the Dragon - Beyond the Wall, but to keep it a bit shorter, I'll use HOTD = House of the Dragon, okay? It's shorter, I think it looks better, let me know what you think.
I intend to finish the fanfic around chapter 80 or so; I don't want to drag it out too much. I've already written up to chapter 44, and based on the pace and decisions I'm making, I believe that in a few chapters things will become interesting again. It was getting a bit monotonous for my taste.
And I need your help!
Many have asked me what the kingdom will be like after we unify everything and things like that. Well, I'm terrible with names, so I need your help. Give me some ideas and make this story have a little bit of you in it too:
I need a last name for the protagonist. After all, Denovan will now be seen as a noble (or close to it) by the South, and if not now, certainly in the future.
I need a name for the new kingdom. This is the hardest part, as I imagined, and so far nothing good has come to mind.
Leave your suggestions in the comments!
Lastly, regarding release delays—not so much on Web Novel, but just in case it happens. My life is very busy right now; work and college are consuming a lot of my time, especially now during exams and project submissions, so I have very little time to write, and even to reply to comments. So, please forgive me if I'm taking too long, but I will eventually reply; it's just that everything is very rushed at the moment.
Another thing is that this was the first fanfic and novel I've ever written, and over the course of the chapters, I made some mistakes and made some decisions that weren't entirely to my liking, and I'm sure I'm still making these mistakes. So, if you're really enjoying this fanfic, leave a comment about what isn't to your liking, what could be improved—no matter what language you write in, I will read it.
Thank you very much for reading this work of mine and for helping me get this far.
