Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Strangling the Boa

Huff! Huff! Huff!

panting heavly, dai yaun rolled of the path, of the lunging serpents head, by now the battle field have become a scene of barbrisim, the snake attacking the wolf, the wolf attacking dai yaun, and other chaotic and disorder clash happening, everyones is just attacking an opponent on close sight.

boom, a loud echoed, as dai yaun grunted heavely while holding, Holding a firm grip on the python's massive tail, Dai Yuan spun his gigantic frame in a furious circle, utilizing the thousands of kilograms of the raw, slithering serpent like a heavy living whip to knock back the remaining wolves.

These damn canines seemed to have been stimulated by something entirely beyond reasoning. The moment their platinum leader had been heavily injured by the boa, the remaining pack had gone utterly berserk. They refused to buckle down or run away like ordinary wild wolves. Despite their numbers rapidly dwindling into nothing more than a handful, they seemed completely intent on protecting and defending their turf, waging a desperate, do-or-die tribal warfare.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

With a deep roar, Dai Yuan released his grip on the tail, causing the giant boa to volley forward through the air. The heavy reptilian body crashed squarely into two wolves that were just beginning to scramble back up from the dirt, pinning them flat.

Dai Yuan panted heavily, the prolonged battle and accumulating injuries taking a heavy toll on his stamina. These damn wolves simply refused to remain on the floor. Like a horde of fucking zombies, they kept dragging their broken, blood-soaked bodies back up, charging at him and the serpent over and over again. It was clear their strategy had shifted to pure attrition—they wanted to exhaust both him and the snake completely.

Resting his hands on his knees, Dai Yuan remained hyper-vigilant. The remaining twelve wolves and their battered king stood in a tight line, engaging in a silent, suffocating aura contest as everyone waited for the next opening to strike.

The massive python, having crashed back onto its belly, slithered cautiously to Dai Yuan's left. The three remaining forces now formed a tense, precarious triangle in the clearing: the wolves lined the front, Dai Yuan stood with his back guarded by the giant Fullmoon Grape tree, and the emerald python held the directly adjacent flank.

"Awooo…"

Suddenly, something in the air ticked off. The wolf king released a low, rumbling cry. It turned its amber eyes toward Dai Yuan, locking him in a deeply intense, human-like stare for several seconds. Then, slowly, the king turned its back.

It signaled a retreat. The Pack Leader had finally regained its predatory sanity, realizing that this had become an entirely losing, unequal battle. Though they possessed the advantage of numbers, their original force of nearly five dozen had been reduced to a mere dozen, and every single survivor was carrying severe, debilitating wounds.

Accepting defeat, the wolf pack moved with practiced speed, rapidly disappearing into the dark shadows of the forest trails. Within moments, the clearing fell dead silent, leaving only Dai Yuan and the massive serpentine titan staring each other down.

The boa, having already sensed Dai Yuan's weakened, heavily panting state, had absolutely no intention of leaving. Before it lay a bountiful harvest of dozens of fresh wolf carcasses, and the bruised human standing before it would make a perfect meal to top off the feast.

"Now is the time," Dai Yuan muttered, his eyes flashing dangerously.

Up until this moment, he had deliberately held back from activating the full boosting capabilities of his Rank 3 Shamanic Rune, fearing that the sudden drain would exhaust his reserves completely before the wolves were dealt with. But now, with only a single foe remaining, he let the restriction break.

The moment he activated the rune, the Grade 3 rune on his upper torso burned hot. A powerful surge of energy flooded his body. His exhausted muscles were suddenly invigorated. His overall strength shot up to the Mid Silver Bone stage — a full level higher than the python.

Feeling this sudden, explosive elevation—a level fundamentally higher than the peak Tier 1 moon boa—Dai Yuan was overcome with the sheer thrill of power. It gave him the sudden, intoxicating illusion that he could blast this monster apart with a single punch.

Stepping forward, Dai Yuan threw a massive, straight right punch directly at the python's oncoming head.

Bang!

His fist collided squarely with the serpent's snout, but the sheer size and thick, shock-absorbing skull of the beast prevented an instant kill. The python's golden-yellow eyes squinted in sheer confusion and pain as the blunt force cracked its front scales, but the massive momentum merely redirected its head, causing it to thrash wildly rather than explode.

The python retaliated instantly, whipping its long body toward him. Dai Yaun was forced to dodge and retreat. Realizing a single unarmed blow wouldn't suffice against such a massive tank of muscle, Dai Yuan instantly disengaged, leaping backward to scoop up his heavy iron rod from the dirt. As the python recovered and lunged with its jaws wide open, Dai Yuan brought the rod down in a devastating overhead smash.

Clang!

The heavy iron struck the side of the serpent's neck, drawing a massive spray of blackish blood and fracturing its upper spine. But the python, driven by pure survival instinct, ignored the pain and rapidly whipped its coils forward, wrapping its thick, muscular tail tightly around Dai Yuan's waist.

The constriction tightened instantly, the pressure threatening to crack his newly forged Silver Bones. Sensing the trap, Dai Yuan intentionally dropped the iron rod into the dirt once more, choosing to rely entirely on his bare hands. He threw his weight forward, driving his knees into the serpent's back as he successfully straddled the monster's neck.

"Die, you bastard!"

Dai Yuan roared, locking both of his massive, muscular arms around the python's throat in a brutal, inescapable chokehold. He channeled every ounce of his strength into his biceps, squeezing the giant throat with the force of a hydraulic press.

The python thrashed violently, its massive body slamming across the clearing, crushing rocks and tearing up the turf as it tried to dislodge him. But Dai Yuan remained glued to its back, his grip tightening further with every passing second, completely cutting off the flow of air and vital energy to the beast's brain. Slowly, the serpent's frantic thrashing began to weaken. Its massive coils slackened, slipping away from his waist until the giant emerald frame finally went completely limp beneath him, letting out one last, hollow hiss.

Dai Yaun released his grip and rolled off the python's body, breathing heavily. He lay on the ground for a moment, staring at the dead Tier 2 beast.
