Chapter 174: Elf Queen – Ellis
"So that's how it is… Ellis really has so many abilities!" Aishi exclaimed enviously after Sister Shao explained everything. She was already wondering if she should try eating a Devil Fruit herself—maybe then she could grow and shrink at will too!
Clearly, she didn't realize the vision-blocking ability was Luo Han 's doing. She assumed it was Ellis'. Sister Shao simply smiled and said nothing.
With everyone's sight blocked, Luo Han walked up to Ellis and summoned a flame of talent-infused aura in his right hand. His expression was serious. "Ellis, this flame contains a kind of aura that enhances physical potential. Once it's fused into your body and after some training, your body's defense will become… well, let's just say, really strong!"
"Alright, go ahead and fuse it into me," Ellis replied calmly with a gentle smile. "Do I need to do anything?"
"No need." Luo Han shook his head, stepped forward, and gently pressed the flame into Ellis' arm. It quickly merged into her body.
"Mm… this…?" The moment it fully merged, Ellis felt a powerful change surge through her body.
Perhaps due to her being a Divine Tree, her body already contained vast energy. Her physical form adapted to the aura instantly—no training needed. Just like that, she now possessed defense on par with a steel balloon, along with the strength and speed granted by the massive Sea King genes.
"Huh… I didn't even need to train?" Ellis blinked, a little unsure. "Did I do something wrong?"
Luo Han didn't answer for a while. His spiritual sense had already detected what was going on—he was just stunned. This is true queen-level potential. She already had broader Observation Haki than he did, and now she had matched him in physical strength in just a few breaths. Once she awakened Armament Haki, her power would easily reach vice admiral candidate level.
And with the Devil Fruit's regenerative ability… he realized, if she plants even just a few Divine Tree clones, she'll have an endless stamina supply—like having multiple self-recharging batteries. That means she could essentially create a weaker version of immortality. Even if she gets hurt, she can instantly heal by burning stamina. With that, she could easily go toe-to-toe with an admiral.
If she refines her Armament Haki more, she'd be solid admiral level. And with her beauty? The title "Elf Queen" was already hers for the taking.
"You okay?" Ellis asked, concerned, seeing that Luo Han had spaced out again.
"I'm fine. And your aura fused perfectly. From today, I'll help you awaken your Armament Haki," he replied quickly.
By now, Luo Han was composed again. In fact, he was already looking forward to a potential showdown in the future—Elf Queen Ellis versus the Pirate Empress. That would be a sight to behold.
"Alright, I'll count on you," Ellis responded seriously.
She didn't know what he was thinking. All she knew was that 29 years from now, the World Government would come to Ring Tree Island again. If she didn't want to be powerless then, she needed strength—to protect herself and her family.
"Let's go back then," Luo Han said, undoing the illusion from Kyoka suigetsu and flying up with Ellis.
"Oh, right!" Mid-flight, Luo Han added, "Don't tell anyone about the talent flame. That's still a secret."
"Don't worry," Ellis replied with equal seriousness. "I'll keep the secret."
Thump thump! They landed. Luo Han headed straight for the lounge chair on deck and sprawled out to enjoy life.
Ellis had barely touched down before Aishi , Sister Shao, and Sora swarmed her.
"Ellis, you can grow?! That's amazing!" Aishi exclaimed, circling her in admiration. "I'm so jealous! I want to grow and shrink too!"
"You could try eating a Devil Fruit," Ellis said with a chuckle, pointing to Cole. "He has two more in his stash."
"Really?!" Aishi asked, her face flushing with excitement.
"Yup! I've got them right here," Cole said, patting his belly. "But I don't know what powers they have."
"If you don't know what they do, don't eat them randomly!" Sister Shao warned. "If it's a useless fruit, you'll lose your ability to swim for nothing."
"Exactly! Not being able to swim would be terrible!" Sora added with a teasing smile.
"Fine! I'll wait then," Aishi pouted, glancing at Cole. "But help me keep an eye out for a cool one. Something that lets me change size would be perfect!"
Everyone facepalmed in silence. She's really hung up on getting bigger…
"Sure thing, Aishi -jiejie!" Cole replied with a goofy grin.
"Hehe." Ellis let out a gentle laugh. So this is what humans call love, she thought. Changing yourself for the one you care about.
Then I guess… I started wanting to grow bigger because of Luo Han . Does that mean… I'm in love with that little perv? Her cheeks instantly flushed bright red.
"Alright! Next stop—our dream island for Sister Shao!" Luo Han 's voice rang out across the ship.
Everyone perked up, excitement gleaming in their eyes.
"Hehe, I can't wait!" Aishi grinned. "Let's go, then!"
"Haha! All aboard, everyone—we sail!" Luo Han shouted.
But no one responded. They were too busy discussing how to build Sister Shao's dream home. Sigh… Luo Han sighed. Just six people on the ship now—it felt a bit empty.
Whatever, he thought, shaking his head. Time to move on. He steered the ship toward the Red Line.
...
At the same time, just past noon, under the blazing sun at the Holy Land of Mary Geoise atop the Red Line—
Inside the spacious Five Elders' office, five elderly men sat in silence, listening to a CP0 agent report.
"…and that concludes the recent activities of Blue Demon, Whitebeard, and others following the Battle of God Valley, along with their psychological profiles," the CP0 agent finished, still kneeling on one knee.
"You may go," said the blond elder, waving a hand.
"Yes, sir." The CP0 agent left and shut the door behind him. Silence fell again.
"What do you all think?" the blond elder asked, glancing at the others. "Clearly, we've lost control of the New World."
"Damn it! We underestimated them." The cane-wielding elder struck the floor with a loud crack, face twisted in regret. "Who would've thought Rocks was that strong? Only the CP0 commander survived, and the navy took heavy losses."
"Our plans for the New World have completely collapsed," the long-bearded elder said grimly.
"Rocks is gone, but Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and the rest of his former officers have all formed their own pirate crews," said the sword-wielding elder, his eyes flashing. "They're all monster-level threats. Add the Roger Pirates to that, and our grip on the New World is basically gone."
"More than Whitebeard and the others… I'm more concerned about that boy—no, that man," said the elder with the scimitar-shaped beard.
"Indeed. Blue Demon gained a massive power boost after being saved by his companions. One strike wounded Rocks," the swordsman added, scanning the room. "If not for that hit weakening Rocks' Haki defense, it's unclear whether Garp and Roger could've defeated him in the end."
