Chapter 161: I'm Just a Normal Guy
The moment Luo Han opened his eyes, the attack was already upon him. Yet he didn't panic. In fact, he even glanced at Ellis and thought, Thank goodness… she's not some greasy old man.
Then, with a mere thought, a swirling vortex of invisible psychic power appeared in front of him, intercepting Rocks' white energy beam.
Boom! The white beam struck the vortex, twisted once within it, and slowly dissolved.
"Hm… That's the same thing from before," Rocks muttered, frowning. He remembered the odd pause he felt the last time he landed a punch on Luo Han .
Step step! Roger, Garp, and the others finally arrived, surrounding Rocks midair. But their attention was drawn to the dark, charred figure below.
That figure slowly stood, revealing a tiny girl hovering in front of him.
"A dwarf? When did that happen?" Rocks muttered, surprised. His Observation Haki had been active the whole time. At that distance, he should've sensed Cole and Whitebeard—but he hadn't. And it wasn't just him—no one had sensed them.
Could it be because of that little one? Rocks thought.
At that moment, Luo Han 's transformation was complete. The charred layers of his body flaked away like a cocoon, revealing a sleek pale-green robe underneath. Long black hair flowed down to his waist, and a striking, almost ethereal face appeared before everyone's eyes.
"Who the hell are you? Where's that brat Luo Han ?" Garp scowled, glaring at the ghostly, white-robed man below.
"Hmm-hmm-hmm!" Roger, Golden Lion, and the Fleet Admiral nodded in agreement.
It wasn't that the man looked entirely different—although he was definitely more handsome than Luo Han —it was the aura, the presence. It was completely different.
Even Luo Han was a bit confused. Through his mental senses, he realized his new appearance was based on his former life's features, likely shaped subconsciously during his body's reconstruction. His height was the same, but he now had longer hair—and the robe was a product of his psychic powers.
"Brat! What was that light sphere?" Rocks asked again, growing suspicious that he might've misunderstood the situation.
"Hm," Luo Han nodded, snapped out of his thoughts. Now wasn't the time to worry about appearances. He floated down, with Cole and Whitebeard joining him.
Cole was unconscious, gravely wounded, bleeding heavily. His Devil Fruit's regenerative abilities were failing due to exhaustion.
Looking to Whitebeard, Luo Han asked, "You alright, Newgate?"
Whitebeard stood up, panting, a bit of dried blood on his lips.
"Ugh… I'm fine! Body can still take it. But Cole needs urgent treatment," Whitebeard replied. Unlike Cole, he hadn't taken the full brunt of the attack.
Looking at the new Luo Han , Whitebeard still felt awkward. If he hadn't witnessed the transformation himself, he wouldn't have believed they were the same person.
"Alright. Let's head back to Warship Island. It shouldn't be far," Luo Han said as he gathered Whitebeard, the unconscious Cole, and Ellis, then started flying away from God Valley.
Whoosh whoosh…! Before they could get far, they were surrounded by Rocks, the Fleet Admiral, and three others. Steel Bone Kong and the rest had also arrived, completely blocking Luo Han 's escape. There was nowhere to run.
"Hey! Luo Han , you never answered me. What was that orb?" Rocks repeated, his tone sharper now. He had already confirmed Luo Han 's identity—only someone of Luo Han 's caliber could have blocked that kind of attack.
"What?! He's Luo Han ?!" Roger and the others were stunned. Charlotte Linlin and the other late arrivals wore expressions of disbelief.
Frowning at being blocked, Luo Han still responded, "That was Ellis' Devil Fruit power. I'm in a hurry. Could you move aside?"
So it really wasn't anything special... Rocks seethed in frustration. After all the commotion, it had been just a Devil Fruit technique. But even so, he couldn't let Luo Han leave—Luo Han had killed his crew.
As Rocks' expression shifted, Luo Han glanced around. Everyone was watching him intently. He sighed and said, "So none of you are letting me through, huh? Sigh… I'm just a normal guy. I don't overthink things. I guess I'll just eliminate all of you."
"…What?" Garp and the others were confused. Was he seriously declaring war on everyone here?
Something about this Luo Han felt… different.
"Hey! Look up!!" Steel Bone Kong's voice rang out from below. Everyone looked skyward—and froze in horror.
A colossal psychic vortex had formed above God Valley, golden spears emerging from it one after another, each tip pointed downward.
An oppressive chill swept over the island. Everyone felt their hearts tremble. It was an instinctive, primal fear. For those with Observation Haki, the alarms in their minds were screaming.
"An attack of this scale… if it drops, we'll all die. Instantly."
The powerful among them still remembered Luo Han 's earlier battle with the original Rocks Pirates. The rest could feel it from the sheer pressure alone—this was on another level.
"Farewell," Luo Han said coldly. Without hesitation, countless golden spears launched downward, blanketing the island.
Whoosh! At the same moment, Rocks rushed to Luo Han 's side and threw a punch—"Mountain Fist!" he growled.
"Stop, Luo Han !!" Garp and Roger shouted at once. They hadn't expected Luo Han to go this far—to potentially kill everyone.
Clang! The golden spears continued to fall like beams of light. Luo Han ignored the calls. If they stood in his way, they'd bear the consequences.
Just as the spears were about to strike—ten meters from impact—a soft yet urgent voice cried out:
"Stop, Luo Han -nii!"
Instantly, the golden spears halted midair.
Boom! Rocks' punch hit a vortex that appeared in front of Luo Han , its energy absorbed entirely. No white beam erupted—it was swallowed whole.
"…Are we… safe?" Garp murmured, gazing at the countless golden spears frozen above. The entire island looked like a giant golden porcupine.
Everything had happened in an instant.
But Luo Han was focused only on Ellis, lying on his chest.
"You're awake, Ellis!" he smiled.
Ellis opened her tired eyes and looked at the suspended spears. "Luo Han -nii… the island's plants saved you. Let's not hurt them, okay?"
"Alright," Luo Han nodded with a smile. The vortex and golden spears vanished instantly.
Turning to Rocks, Luo Han frowned slightly. This guy… he really thinks he can do whatever he wants just because he's strong.
With a thought, another vortex formed in front of him. Zip! A thin white beam shot out, slicing across the sky—and slicing straight through Rocks' left shoulder before he could react.
"Missed his heart at the last second… tsk," Luo Han muttered to himself.
Drip. Drip. Silence blanketed God Valley. The only sound was blood dripping from Rocks' shoulder. Everyone stared, stunned—he had been wounded.
"Rocks… was injured by that white-clad Blue Demon. That's the same man who survived full-force blows from Garp and the Admiral without a scratch!"
The marines paled in disbelief.
"Rocks!!" Aikes and the others screamed, rushing to their captain.
Only Roger's eyes lit up. He smirked slightly. So… even your Haki defense has a weakness, Rocks.
Luo Han ignored the stunned Rocks and the terrified crowd. He rose into the sky and left God Valley. No one dared stop him. They could only watch.
But there's always someone who just doesn't learn.
"Hey! You filthy peasants! Did you take my Devil Fruit?! That was meant for my slaves! Unless you—"
The lead Celestial Dragon froze mid-sentence.
Luo Han didn't stop.
Everyone else sighed in relief. The Celestial Dragons were lucky he didn't hear—
Shhhk! A sound split the air. Blood splattered into the eyes of the CP0 commander.
Every Celestial Dragon—except the children—collapsed, heads separated from their bodies. The slaves nearby were too shocked to even scream, their mouths agape in terror.
"Blue Demon!!" the CP0 commander roared, drawing everyone's attention.
A heavy silence followed.
In their hearts, everyone made a silent vow: Never talk nonsense in front of that man. Or you will die.
"These damned Celestial Dragons…" the Fleet Admiral fumed silently. Now we've got someone even more terrifying than Rocks to deal with.
Thus, the Battle of God Valley ended prematurely.
What the world would remember most—more than his invincible power—was Luo Han 's chilling disregard for life. His cold line rang in their ears:
"I'm just a normal guy. I don't like to think too hard. Might as well just wipe everyone out."
